Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագավոր Սալման իբն Աբդուլ Ազիզ Ալ Սաուդը Իրանի նախագահ Իբրահիմ Ռաիսիին Էր Ռիադ այցելելու հրավեր է ուղարկել, հաղորդում է Tasnim-ը:
«Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագավորը Ռաիսիին ուղղված նամակում ողջունել է երկու եղբայրական երկրների միջեւ համաձայնագիրը եւ հրավիրել նրան պաշտոնական այց կատարել Էր Ռիադ, ինչպես նաեւ կոչ է արել ամրապնդել տնտեսական եւ տարածաշրջանային համագործակցությունը»,-գործակալությունը մեջբերել է Իրանի նախագահի աշխատակազմի ղեկավարի քաղաքական հարցերով տեղակալ Մոհամմադ Ջամշիդիի խոսքը:
«Նախագահը ուրախությամբ է ստացել այդ հրավերը եւ ընդգծել համագործակցությունն ամրապնդելու Իրանի պատրաստակամությունը», - շարունակել է Ջամշիդին:
Իր հերթին Իրանի ԱԳ նախարար Հոսեյն Ամիր Աբդոլլահիանը հայտարարել է, որ Իրանը համաձայնել է Սաուդյան Արաբիայի հետ հանդիպում անցկացնել ԱԳ նախարարների մակարդակով, եւ որ Թեհրանն առաջարկել է բանակցությունների կազմակերպման երեք հնարավոր վայր: Բայց նա չի հստակեցրել, թե ինչ վայրերի մասին է խոսքը, և երբ է հնարավոր այդ հանդիպումը։
Նախորդ շաբաթ հայտնի էր դարձել, որ Իրանն ու Սաուդյան Արաբիան Չինաստանի միջնորդությամբ կայացած բանակցություններում համաձայնել են վերականգնել դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունները եւ երկու ամսվա ընթացքում դեսպանություններ բացել միմյանց մոտ:
