Թաիլանդի ամենահաջողակ ու պահանջված մոդելին՝ Միմի Տաոյին, մշտապես կարելի է տեսնել կարմիր գորգին, պոդիումին ու ներքնազգեստի գովազդային ֆոտոշարքերում։
 
Ինչևէ, այսօրվա նրա կյանքը չէր կարող ավելի տարբեր լինել, քան 6 տարի առաջ էր, երբ տղայի անունը Ֆաջարանատ Նոբանտաո էր, և նա ապրում էր որպես բուդդիստ վանական այն ժամանակվանից ի վեր, երբ 12 տարեկանում ծնողները նրան տաճարի դպրոց էին ուղարկել։
 
Սակայն հենց այդ ժամանակ էր, որ ամեն ինչ փոխվեց.
Ես սկսեցի ինձ աղջկա նման պահել, խոսել աղջկա նման ու ավելի շատ հետաքրքրվել աղջկական բաներով, ինչպես օրինակ շպարով, - լրագրողներին է պատմել Նոբանտաոն՝ այժմ արդեն Միմի Տաոն։
Չնայած նրա, որ Տաոն ցանկանում էր աղջկա կյանքով ապրել, նա վանական դարձավ ու ապրում էր՝ հետևելով 200 խիստ կանոններին։
Ինչևէ, տղայի ցանկությունն ավելի էր բորբոքվում, ու նա գաղտնի հանդիպում էր իր չորս ընկերների հետ, ում հետ միասին նրանք շպարվում ու աղջկական բաներ էին անում։
Նրանք նույնիսկ սկսեցին հակաբեղմնավորիչ հաբեր օգտագործել՝ փորձելով մեծացնել կրծքերը։ Շուտով, սակայն, նրա մայրը բռնեցրեց նրան՝ սպառնալով հրաժարվել նրանից, եթե նա չդադարեցնի այն, ինչ անում է։ Չնայած մոր սպառնալիքներին՝ 6 տարի վանականի կյանքով ապրելուց հետո Տաոն որոշեց ամեն ինչ հետևում թողնել ու աղջկա կյանքով ապրել։
Նա սկսեց աշխատել տարբեր կաբարեներում, այդ թվում՝ Բանգկոկի հայտնի «Calypso»-ում։
Ոգեշնչվելով հայտնի մոդել Յուի Պետկանհայով՝ երկար խնդրելուց հետո նա վերջապես կարողացավ համոզել վերջինիս սովորեցնել իրեն մոդելային արվեստը։
Երեք ամիս շարունակ Պետկանհան սովորեցրեց նրան այն ամենն, ինչ գիտեր, որից հետո Տաոն ինքնուրույն փորձեց իրեն դրսևորել այս ասպարեզում։
Տաոյին մերժում էին ամենուր, սակայն նա չէր հանձնվում։
Ես հույսս չէի կորցնում։ Ես գիտեի, որ լավ սերմ եմ, պարզապես սխալ հողում եմ։
Տաոն մեկնեց Սինգապուր, որտեղ սկսեց կառուցել իր համբավը մոդելային աշխարհում՝ մասնակցելով տեղի շոուներին ու նկարահանվելով գովազդային հոլովակներում։
Երբ նա վերադարձավ Թաիլանդ, նրա անունը սկսեց տարածվել, ու նա ստացավ իր առաջին աշխատանքը, որից հետո նրա կարիերան սկսեց աճեց։
Այժմ լինելով Թաիլանդի ամենապահանջված մոդելներից մեկը՝ նա պատրաստվում է նկարահանվել տրանսգենդերի մասին պատմող ֆիլմում ու ուղևորվել Նյու Յորք։
Մոդելային կարիերան, սակայն, Տաոյի վերջանպատակը չէ, նա հույս ունի վերջապես վճարել մոր պարտքերը։
Ոչ ոք չգիտի ապագան։ Հնարավոր է, որ ես նորից վանական դառնամ, երբ այլևս անհանգստանալու ոչինչ չի լինի։ Երբեմն ես մտածում եմ, որ դա էր կատարյալ կյանքն ինձ համար։
