Մարտի 1-ի թեման Հայաստանում ամենաշահարկված թեման է: 44-օրյա պատերազմում 5000-ից ավելի զոհեր տված, 2022թ. սեպտեմբերյան պատերազմում 250 զոհ տված, Ազատ գյուղի այսպես կոչված կացարանում 15 զինծառայողների հրդեհի մատնած Նիկոլի կառավարությունն այսօր կրկին վայնասուն է բարձրացնելու 2008թ. մարտի 1-ի թեմայով:
 
Իրադարձությունները ցույց են տվել, որ իշխանության եկած պոպուլիստների համար, ազգությամբ հայերի կյանքերի հաշվին սեփական ծրագրերն առաջ տանելը կարծես թե դարձել է գործելաոճ: Որտեղ իրենց է պետք` թմբկահարում են, որտեղ պետք չէ` մոռացության են տալիս:
 
Նիկոլը հայտարարեց, որ մարտի 1-ի գործը բացահայտված է, իսկ սպանությունների մեղավորներն այդպես էլ առ այսօր չեն բացահայտվել: Երկրորդ նախագահի դեմ հարուցված շինծու գործով և դատարանի վճռով էլ հիմնավորվեց, որ 2008թ. գործող իշխանությունը որևէ կապ չունի մարտի 1-ի կազմակերպման հետ և իր գործողություններում առաջնորդվել է բացառապես օրենքի շրջանակներում:
 
Իսկ ու՞մ էր ձեռնտու մարտի 1 կազմակերպելը, եթե ոչ 2008թ-ին հարթակից անկարգություններ ու բախումներ հրահրած այն ժամանակվա որոշ ընդդիմադիրների:
 
Մարտի 1-ի կազմակերպիչները փորձում էին ամեն ինչ անել, որպեսզի սասանեն Հայաստանի ներքաղաքական կայունությունը և թուլացնեն Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանից հետո նախագահ ընտրված Սերժ Սարգսյանի բանակցային դիրքերն Արցախի հարցում: Երկրորդ և երրորդ նախագահները կարողացան կանխել երկիրը ցնցումների տանող ներքաղաքական դիվերսիան և ամուր պահել Հայաստանի բանակցային դիրքերը:
 
2018թ.-ին նույնաբովանդակ ընդդիմությունը (այսօրվա իշխանությունը) ցանկանում էր կրկնել նույն մարտի 1-ը: Երբ Սերժ Սարգսյանը տեսախցիկների առկայությամբ ասում էր «մոռացե՞լ եք մարտի 1-ը», շատերն ընդունեցի դա որպես սպառնալիք: Այնինչ, 2018թ-ի ապրիլ-մայիսին «Իմ քայլը» շարժումը պատրաստ էր ժողովրդին տանել քաղաքացիական բախումների ու ցնցումների` եթե Նիկոլը չընտրվեր վարչապետ («կամ ես կլինեմ վարչապետ, կամ այս երկիրը վարչապետ չի ունենա» Ն.Փ.):
 
Հանուն Արցախի, հանուն Հայաստանի և հանուն հայ ժողովրդի` նախորդ իշխանությունը հրաժարական տվեց, որովհետև այլընտրանքը` բռնի ուժով շարժումը կասեցնելու և իշխանությունը պահելու մեջ էր լինելու` ինչը կարող էր վնասեր Հայաստանի իմիջին, խաթարեր ներքաղաքական կայունությունը և թուլացներ բանկցային դիրքերը: Նախորդ իշխանությունը չգնաց այդ ճանապարհով:
 
Այսօր, խայտառակ պարտությունից ու Արցախի մեծ մասի կորստից հետո շատերն են մեզ մեղադրում, թե ինչու՞ 2018թ. իշխանությունը հանձնեցինք և ինչու՞ ամեն գնով չպահեցինք այն: Գուցե հիմա, ստեղծված իրավիճակում արդարացված են այդ տեսակետները, սական միայն հետին թվով և մի պայմանով: Իսկ արդյո՞ք բոլոր այդ ասողները գիտակցել ու հասկացե՞լ են, թե ո՞րն էր մարտի 1-ի կազմակերպիչների բուն նպատակը:
