ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Անտոնիո Գուտերեշը շեշտել է, որ Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանի որոշումները ենթակա են պարտադիր կատարման՝ հուսալով, որ Լաչինի միջանցքով ազատ տեղաշարժն ապահովելու համար կձեռնարկվեն համապատասխան միջոցառումները:
«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ՄԱԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարի հայտարարությունը տարածել է նրա խոսնակ Ստեֆան Դյուժարիկը:
Հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է, որ ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարն ի գիտություն է ընդունում Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանի որոշումները, որոնք ընդունվել են փետրվարի 22-ին Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև վարույթի շրջանակում: Գլխավոր քարտուղարը ողջունել է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի կառավարությունների վստահությունը Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանին:
Գլխավոր քարտուղարը հիշեցրել է, որ Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանի որոշումները պարտադիր են կատարման համար: Նա հավատում է, որ կողմերը կկատարեն որոշումները՝ այդ թվում այն որոշումը, որը վերաբերում է Լաչինի միջանցքով երկու ուղղությամբ՝ մարդկանց, տրանսպորտային միջոցների և բեռների անարգել տեղաշարժն ապահովելու համար միջոցներ ձեռնարկելուն:
Գլխավոր քարտուղարը հույս է հայտնել, որ Հայաստանը և Ադրբեջանը կշարունակեն աշխատել՝ բարելավելու երկկողմ հարաբերությունները: Նա շեշտել է, որ խրախուսում է կառուցողական երկխոսությունը։
Արդարադատության միջազգային դատարանը փետրվարի 22-ին հրապարակեց Լաչինի միջանցքի ապաշրջափակման վերաբերյալ ժամանակավոր միջոց կիրառելու Հայաստանի պահանջի մասին որոշումը: Դատարանն Ադրբեջանին պարտավորեցրեց ձեռնարկել իրենից կախված բոլոր միջոցները, որպեսզի ապահովի անձանց, տրանսպորտային միջոցների և բեռների անխափան տեղաշարժը Լաչինի միջանցքով երկու ուղղությամբ:
Նույն օրը հրապարակված որոշմամբ դատարանը մերժեց Ադրբեջանի պահանջն ընդդեմ Հայաստանի:
