Փետրվարի 24-ին լրանում է Ուկրաինա Ռուսաստանի ներխուժման մեկ տարին, ինչի կապակցությամբ ԵՄ երկրների ղեկավարները համատեղ հայտարարություն են տարածել՝ Ուկրաինան անվանելով «եվրոպական ընտանիքի մաս», հայտնում է news.liga.net-ը։
Հայտարարության մեջ ասվում է, որ ԵՄ երկրները «ամեն ինչ կանեն, որպեսզի Ուկրաինան հաղթի, երաշխավորվի միջազգային իրավունքը, վերականգնվի Ուկրաինայի խաղաղությունն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությունը միջազգայնորեն ճանաչված սահմաններում, Ուկրաինան վերականգնի ավերվածը և որ արդարությունը հաղթի»։
Եվրախորհուրդը խոստացել է աջակցել Ուկրաինայի վերականգնմանը և այդ նպատակով «օգտագործել Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության սառեցված ակտիվները՝ ԵՄ օրենսդրության և միջազգային իրավունքի համաձայն»։
ԵՄ-ն հայտարարել է, որ իրենք մտադիր են շարունակել «ուժեղացնել համատեղ ճնշումը Ռուսաստանի վրա՝ ագրեսիայի պատերազմը դադարեցնելու համար» և ձեռնարկել ոչ միայն պատժամիջոցների տասներորդ փաթեթը, այլ նաև մի շարք քայլեր նրանց դեմ, ովքեր փորձում են շրջանցել Եվրոպական Միության կողմից Ռուսաստանի դեմ սահմանված սահմանափակումները։
Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը նաև Twitter-ում գրել է, որ Ուկրաինայի դրոշը բարձրացվել է Եվրահանձնաժողովի շենքի առջև՝ ի նշան համերաշխության, քանի որ «մեր ուկրաինացի ընկերների ոգին և վճռականությունը. ոգեշնչման աղբյուր բոլորիս համար» և «մի օր Ուկրաինան կմիանա մեր եվրոպական ընտանիքին»:
«Կգա ժամանակը, երբ այս դրոշը ամեն օր բարձր կբարձրացվի Բրյուսելում, և այն անպայման այնտեղ կլինի»,- գրել է նա։
