Լավ դիպուկահարը պարտադիր չէ, որ կադրային զինվորական լինի: Շատ դեպքերում նրանց անձը գաղտնի է պահվել պատերազմների ողջ ընթացքում և բացահայտվել է միայն տարիներ անց: Դիպուկահարի իրական արժեքը նրա փորձառությունն է և թիրախը մեծ հեռավորության վրա խոցելու կարողությունը, ինչի շնորհիվ դիպուկահարները միշտ համարվել են էլիտար զինվորներ:

1966 թվականին դեռ քսան տարեկանը չբոլորած ամերիկացի այս զինվորն արդեն Վիետնամում էր և գրանցել էր այն ժամանակների համար անսովոր մեծ թիվ՝ մի քանի հարյուր դիակ թշնամու բանակից: Բանը հասել էր նրան, որ Հյուսիսային Վիետնամը նրա գլխի համար մեծ գումար էր առաջարկել: Բայց նա առանց որևէ վնասվածքի անցավ ողջ պատերազմը և վերադարձավ ԱՄՆ՝ դառնալով հերոս երիտասարդների և պարծանք՝ զինվորականների համար:
Սիմո Խայուխա
Ռուս-ֆիննական պատերազմում այս դիպուկահարի անունը տարբեր խորհուրդներ ունեն. ֆինների համար նա կենդանի լեգենդ էր, վրեժխնդրության աստծո մարմնավորումը, իսկ ռուսական բանակում նրա անունը դարձել է մահվան խորհրդանիշ. Սիմո Խայուխային ռուսներն անվանում էին Սպիտակ Մահ: 1939-1940 թվականների ձմեռվա ամիսների ընթացքում դիպուկահարը ոչնչացրել է հակառակորդի մոտ 500 զինվոր: Ի տարբերություն այլ դիպուկահարների, նա չէր օգտագործում օպտիկական նշանոց, բայց դիպուկ կրակում էր մինչև 450 մետր հեռավորության վրա:
Լյուդմիլա Պավլիչենկո
Ռուս դիպուկահար Լ.Պավլիչենկոն Մեծ Հայրենական պատերազմի ընթացքում ոչնչացրել է հակառակորդի 309 զինվոր: Հարցազրույցներից մեկում նաասելէ, թե չէր կարողանում կրակել մարդու վրա ծառայության առաջին օրերին, սակայն ամեն ինչ փոխվեց առաջին իսկ կրակոցից հետո: Վախին և անհամարձակությանը փոխարինեց պարտքի զգացումը, ինչն էլ փրկեց կնոջ նուրբ հոգեկանը անհավանական բեռից և խանգարումից:
Վասիլի Զայցև
Կարմիր բանակի լեգենդար դիպուկահարը ոչնչացրել է հակառակորդի մոտ 500 զինվոր: 2001 թվականին լույս տեսած "Թշնամին դարպասի մոտ է" ֆիլմը նվիրված է հենց նրան, որում պատմվում է ռուս և գերմանացի դիպուկահարների դրամատիկ հակամարտության մասին:

Թեև 8 տարեկան հասակն ամենալավ տարիքը չէ առաջին կրակոցն անելու համար, սակայն ոչ այն դեպքում, եթե դու ծնվել ես ԱՄՆ-ի Թեխաս նահանգում: 2003 թվականին Կրիսը, ով արդեն հասցրել էր մասնակցել ԱՄՆ-ի գաղտնի մի շարք նախագծերին, ստանում է նոր նշանակում՝ Իրաք: Պաշտոնապես նա ոչնչացրել է հակառակորդի 160 զինվոր, սակայն նրա հետ ծառայողների խոսքերով, իրական թիվը մոտ երեք անգամ ավելի մեծ է:
Ռոբ Ֆուռլոնգ
Կանադայի բանակում երկար տարիներ ծառայելու ընթացքում նա աչքիչ էր ընկնում արտասովոր ոչ մի ունակությամբ, բացի մեկից. համառորեն մարզվելու ձգտումից: "Անակոնդա" ռազմական գործողոթյան ժամանակ ի հայտ եկան երկար տարիների մարզումների արդյունքները. մարտերից մեկի ժամանակ Ռոբը կրակեց և ոչնչացրեց հակառակորդին, ով գնտվումէր 2.430 մետր հեռավորության վրա: Այս ռեկորդը մինչ օրս մնում է չգերազանցված:
Թոմաս Պլանկետ
Ընդամենը երկու կրակոցի շնորհիվ բրիտանական բանակի զինվոր Թ. Պլանկետը հայտվեց աշխարհի լավագույն դիպուկահարների շարքում: Հեռավոր 1809 թվականին մուշկետով զինված բրիտանացիները կարողանում էին ոչնչացնել ընդամենը 50 մետր հեռավորության վրա գտնվող հակառակորդին: Պլանկետը, երկար նշան բռնելուց հետո, կրակեց և սպանեց 600 մետր հեռավորության վրա գտնվող ֆրանսիացի գեներալին: Իսկ պատահական հաջողության մասին խոսակցությունները կանխելու նպատակով կրկին նշան բռնեց և սպանեց գեներալի ադյուտանտին՝ այդ նույն 600 մետր հեռավորության վրա: Այն տարիների համար դա անհավանական հեռավորություն էր:
