Քաղաքական-հասարակական գործիչ, «Համախմբում» շարժման խորհրդի անդամ Ավետիք Չալաբյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Հինգ օր առաջ մենք այցելեցինք Հայաստանում Սիրիայի դեսպանություն՝ մեր զորակցությունը հայտնելու ավերիչ երկրաշարժից տուժած բարեկամական սիրիացի ժողովրդին:
 
Հաջորդ օրերին, մենք և մեր մի շարք գործընկերները արագ մոբիլիզացրեցինք մեր սուղ կարողությունները, և երեկ արդեն մեր «Արար» հիմնադրամը հումանիտար օգնության առաջին խմբաքանակը կարողացավ հատկացնել Սիրիայում երկրաշարժից տուժածներին:
 
Երեկ մենք կրկին այցելեցին Հայաստանում Սիրիայի դեսպանություն, հանդիպեցինք արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան տիկին Նորա Արիսյանի հետ, միասին քննարկեցինք երկրաշարժի հետևանքով առաջացած ճգնաժամային իրավիճակը, արևմտյան պատժամիջոցների հետևանքով առկա բազմաթիվ բարդությունները, ինչպես նաև մեր սիրիահայ հայրենակիցների անմիջական կարիքները: Նաև, մենք մոտ 2 մլն դրամի առաջին անհրաժեշտության դեղամիջոցներ և մանկական սնունդ փոխանցեցինք
Հայաստանում Սիրիայի դեսպանությանը, որն էլ ինքնաթիռով այն կտեղափոխվի Սիրիա։
Այս օգնությունը մեր մարդկային զորակցությունն է Սիրիայում բնակվող մեր բազմաթիվ հայրենակիցներին և մեր բարեկամ Սիրիայի ժողովրդին։ Ուրախալի է, որ Հայաստանում գործող մի շարք այլ բարեգործական կազմակերպություններ և անհատ անձիք ևս զուգահեռ իրենց աջակցությունն են բերում Սիրիայի ժողովրդին, դրանով վերահաստատելով մեր մարդասիրությունը և երախտապարտությունը բարեկամների նկատմամբ:
 
Մենք ինքներս ըստ հնարավորության կշարունակենք այս աշխատանքը, մինչ այդ
