«Որոշ խորամանկություն է նկատվում, խոսվում է այսպես կոչված միջանցնքերի, ինչ-որ գործողությունների մասին, բայց Իրանը և Հայաստանը թույլ չեն տա, որ նման միջանցք ստեղծվի»-,-այս մասին «Հայ-իրանական հարաբերություններն ընդհանուր շահերի համատեքստում» թեմայով քննարկման ժամանակ այսօր՝ փետրվարի 9-ին, ասել է Հայաստանում Իրանի Արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Աբաս Բադախշան Զոհուրին։
Ըստ նրա՝ անհրաժեշտ է, որպեսզի Հայաստանը և Իրանն աշխատեն այս ուղղությամբ՝ հանդես գալով նախաձեռնություններով։
«Չպետք է թույլ տանք, որպեսզի նախաձեռնությունը բխի մեկ այլ կողմից, իսկ մենք ընդամենը համապատասխանենք դրան։ Հակառակը, մենք պետք է ինքներս հանդես գանք նախաձեռնությամբ։ Մենք պետք է նայենք, թե ինչ քայլեր են հարկավոր, ոչ թե սպասենք, որպեսզի լինի ինչ-որ միջանցքի բացման նախաձեռնություն, իսկ հետո արդեն մտածենք, թե ինչ դիրքորոշում զբաղեցնենք ու արտահայտենք այն։ Մենք չպետք է դա թույլ տանք»,- ասել է նա։
Աբաս Բադախշան Զոհուրին կարևոր խնդիր է համարել պատմական փաստերի աղճատումը, և եթե չլինեին տարածքային փոխանակումները, ապա այսօր, նրա գնահատմամբ, աշխարհաքաղաքական իրավիճակը տարածաշրջանում կարող էր այլ լինել։ Ըստ նրա՝ այլ երկրները ցանկանում էին, որ իսլամական հեղափոխությունը ձախողվեր․ «Դա հանգեցրեց իրանա-իրաքյան պատերազմին, որի արդյունքներով Իրանը ոչ մի թիզ հող չկորցրեց։ Դա ապացուցում է, որ ժողովրդի միասնությունը կարող է հասնել հաջողության անգամ 40-ամյա պատժամիջոցների պայմաններում։ Այդ օրինակին կարող են հետեւել նաեւ այլ երկրները»։
