Վրաստանի նախագահ Սալոմե Զուրաբիշվիլին երկրի նախկին ղեկավար Միխեիլ Սաակաշվիլիին կոչ է արել հեռանալ վրացական քաղաքականությունից և դրանով իսկ «դադարեցնել պատանդ պահել երկիրը և ընդդիմությանը», գրում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

«Սաակաշվիլին պետք է մեկընդմիշտ խոստովանի, որ կատարել է հանցագործություններ և հեռանա քաղաքականությունից, դադարեցնի պատանդ պահել երկիրը և ընդդիմությանը», - ասվում է Զուրաբիշվիլիի հայտարարության մեջ:

Պետության ղեկավարը ևս մեկ անգամ բացատրել է պատճառները, թե ինչու չի ծրագրում ներում շնորհել Սաակաշվիլիին։

«Հաշվի առնելով նախկին նախագահի հայտարարությունները և այն, որ նա չի ճանաչում և չի զղջում հանցանքների համար, եթե ազատ արձակվի, նա կդառնա ոչ միայն իշխանությունների, այլև երկրի հեղինակության ընդդիմախոսը և, համապատասխանաբար, նրա եվրոպական շանսերի»,- ասված է հայտարարության մեջ։

Ավելին, Զուրաբիշվիլին հայտարարել է, որ եթե նույնիսկ ներում շնորհի Սաակաշվիլիին, նա չի կարողանա դուրս գալ բանտից, քանի որ նրա դեմ այլ քրեական գործեր են հարուցվել։

Զուրաբիշվիլին իր հայտարարության մեջ նաև դժգոհել է, որ Սաակաշվիլիի հարցը հետին պլան է մղել Վրաստանի եվրաինտեգրման և երկրի կողմից 12 հանձնարարականների կատարման հարցերը, որոնք ԵՄ-ն տրամադրել էր կազմակերպության անդամի թեկնածուի կարգավիճակ ստանալու համար։

Միաժամանակ, Վրաստանի ղեկավարը կոչ է արել կառավարությանը իրավական և մարդասիրական ելք գտնել Սաակաշվիլիի խնդրի լուծման համար։

Սաակաշվիլին, որն Ուկրաինայի քաղաքացի է, գաղտնի ժամանել է Վրաստան 2021 թվականի հոկտեմբերին՝ մունիցիպալ ընտրությունների նախորդ օրը, որից հետո ձերբակալվել և բանտարկվել է Ռուսթավի քաղաքում։ Նա հացադուլ է հայտարարել՝ իրեն անվանելով քաղբանտարկյալ։ Նախկին նախագահի առողջական վիճակի վատթարացումից հետո նրան տեղափոխել են բանտի հիվանդանոց, իսկ ավելի ուշ՝ զինվորական հոսպիտալ։ 2021 թվականի դեկտեմբերին Սաակաշվիլին շարունակել է պատիժը կրել Ռուսթավիի բանտում, սակայն մայիսին նրան տեղափոխել են Թբիլիսիի «Վիվամեդ» մասնավոր կլինիկա, որտեղ նա մնում է մինչ օրս։ Նախկին նախագահը բազմիցս հայտարարել է, որ բանտում ծանր հիվանդություններ են ձեռք բերել։ Անցյալ տարի փորձագետները Սաակաշվիլիի օրգանիզմում ծանր մետաղներ էին հայտնաբերել, այդ թվում՝ սնդիկի հետքեր։ Նրանց խոսքով՝ քաղաքական գործիչն ունի տասը ախտորոշում, որոնք անհամատեղելի են ազատազրկման հետ։ Մինչդեռ Վրաստանի արդարադատության նախարարության հատուկ քրեակատարողական ծառայությունը հայտնել է, որ Սաակաշվիլիից վերցված թեստերը ցույց են տվել թունավոր նյութերի բացակայություն։ Վրաստանի իշխանությունների դիրքորոշումն այն է, որ Սաակաշվիլին սիմուլյացիա է անում. երկուշաբթի Թբիլիսիի քաղաքային դատարանը մերժել է Սաակաշվիլիի պաշտպանական միջնորդությունը՝ նախկին նախագահին ազատ արձակելու վերաբերյալ՝ առողջական նկատառումներով։ Դատարանի վճռի հրապարակումից հետո Սաակաշվիլիի փաստաբան Շալվա Խաչապուրիձեն հայտարարել է, որ մտադիր է առաջիկա օրերին բողոքարկել այս որոշումը Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարան։
