Թուրքիայի տրանսպորտի նախարար Բինալի Իլդիրիմը Ռուսաստանին մեղադրել է միջազգային ավիացիոն նորմերը խախտելու համար եւ կամայականություն է անվանել հանրապետության ավիաընկերությունների անձնակազմերի անդամների համար վիզաների հետ կապված իրավիճակը: Նման հայտարարությամբ, ինչպես հայտնում է Lenta-ն` վկայակոչելով Reuters-ին, գերատեսչության ղեկավարը հանդես է եկել հունվարի 6-ին Անկարայում մամուլի ասուլիսի ընթացքում:
Նախօրեին բեռնափոխադրող Pegasus Airlines-ը հայտնել էր, որ մինչեւ հունվարի 13-ը դադարեցնում է թռիչքները Ռուսաստան անձնակազմերի համար մուտքի վիզաների բացակայության պատճառով: Նրա հետեւից համանման քայլեր ազդարարեց թուրքական եւս մեկ մասնավոր ավիաընկերություն` Onur Air-ը, որը թռիչքները կդադարեցնի մինչեւ հունվարի 14-ը:
Պետական Turkish Airlines-ի ներկայացուցիչը հայտնել է, որ ավիաընկերությունը անձնակազմերի համար վիզաներ է ստացել եւ չի փոփոխում Ռուսաստան թռիչքների գրաֆիկը:
Մոսկվան հունվարի 1-ից դադարեցրել է Թուրքիայի քաղաքացիների համար առանց վիզայի ռեժիմը: Այդ քայլի մասին որոշումն ընդունվել էր այն բանից հետո, երբ թուրքական ՌՕՈՒ-ն նոյեմբերի 24-ին խոցել էր ռուսաստանյան Սու-24 ռմբակոծիչը, որը Սիրիայում մասնակցել էր իսլամիստների դեմ պայքարին:
