Անկարան ոչ մի կործանիչ չի ստացել ԱՄՆ-ից, ոչ էլ նրանց համար վճարված գումարները, հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Թայիփ Էրդողանը, հայտնում է Anadolu գործակալությունը, փոխանցում է Ռիա Նովոստին։
«Մարդիկ կային, ովքեր սպառնում էին մեզ C-400 գնելիս՝ փոխարենը ոչինչ չառաջարկելով: Հիմա մենք բանակցում ենք F-16-ների մատակարարման շուրջ, բայց մեզ մերժում են: Մեզ խոստացել են F-35 ինքնաթիռներ, բայց նրանք չեն պահել իրենց խոստումը: Չնայած մենք վճարել ենք մոտ 1 միլիարդ 400 միլիոն դոլար։ Ինքնաթիռները չկան, գումարը չի վերադարձվել։ Մենք միշտ մեր խոսքի տերն ենք և դա ակնկալում ենք մեր գործընկերներից», - մեջբերում է թուրքական «Անադոլու» գործակալությունը Թուրքիայի ղեկավարի խոսքերը։
Ավելի վաղ ԱՄՆ-ը Թուրքիային բացառել էր F-35 կործանիչների ծրագրից՝ որպես պատիժ՝ ռուսական C-400 ՀՕՊ համակարգեր գնելու համար։ Այնուհետև Էրդողանը հայտարարեց այլ կործանիչներ գնելու ամերիկյան առաջարկի մասին, բայց ոչ թե հինգերորդ, այլ չորրորդ սերնդի՝ F-16:
