ԱՄՆ պետդեպի խոսնակ Նեդ Փրայսը հերթական բրիֆինգի ժամանակ անդրադարձել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությանը և արձագանքել հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին ԵՄ մոնիթորինգի առաքելության տեղակայման հարցին։ 

«Մեր եվրոպացի գործընկերները արդեն ներկայություն ունեն տեղում հանձին մոնիթորինգի առաքելության։ Անշուշտ, մենք սերտորեն աշխատում ենք եվրոպացի գործընկերների հետ, երբ հարցը վերաբերում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին, ներկայիս մարտահրավերին Լաչինի միջանցքում, լարվածությանն ու հակամարտությանը Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի միջև ավելի լայն համատեքստում։

Այնպես որ, մենք կիսվում ենք մեր տեղեկատվությամբ եվրոպացի գործընկերների հետ։ Նույնն էլ իրենք են անում։ Եվ մենք հավատում ենք, որ կարևոր է շարունակել սերտորեն աշխատել եվրոպացիների հետ, այդ թվում ԵԱՀԿ-ի հետ, եթե դա հնարավոր է, և աշխատել ուղղակիորեն, եթե և երբ դա արդյունավետ է։ Այս ամենը մենք արել ենք։ Նաև շարունակելու ենք անել այն ամենը, ինչը, հավատում ենք, որ կլինի արդյունավետ և կբերի տևական խաղաղություն ու կնվազեցնի լարվածությունը։
