Վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ընդունել է Հարավային Կովկասի ու Վրաստանի ճգնաժամի հարցերով ԵՄ հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Տոյվո Կլաարին: Հանդիպմանը ներկա է եղել նաև Հայաստանում Եվրոպական միության պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Անդրեա Վիկտորինը: Այս մասին հայտնում են ՀՀ վարչապետի աշխատակազմից։
Զրուցակիցները քննարկել են տարածաշրջանում ստեղծված իրավիճակին, ինչպես նաև Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն համագործակցությանը վերաբերող հարցեր:
Կարևորվել է հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին Եվրոպական միության նոր քաղաքացիական առաքելության տեղակայման վերաբերյալ ընդունված որոշումը, ինչը կնպաստի տարածաշրջանում կայունությանն և անվտանգությանը: Անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև Լաչինի միջանցքի արգելափակման հետևանքով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ստեղծված հումանիտար ճգնաժամին:
Վարչապետ Փաշինյանն ընդգծել է, որ դրա հետևանքով Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում ստեղծված իրավիճակն օրեցօր ավելի է ծանրանում ու սրվում, չեն գործում դպրոցներն ու մանկապարտեզները, առողջապահական հիմնարկներն ունեն դեղորայքի խիստ պակաս և կանգնած են լրջագույն խնդիրների առաջ: Բացի այդ, Ադրբեջանի կողմից դադարեցվել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի գազամատակարարումը, առկա է նաև էլեկտրաէներգիայի մատակարարման խնդիր: Կարևորելով ստեղծված իրավիճակին միջազգային հանրության հասցեական արձագանքը՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը գոհունակությամբ է ընդգծել օրերս Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի կողմից ընդունված բանաձևերի փաստը:
Տոյվո Կլաարը մտահոգություն է հայտնել Լաչինի միջանցքի արգելափակման կապակցությամբ և ընդգծել միջանցքի անխափան գործունեության անհրաժեշտությունը: Նա նշել է, որ ԵՄ-ն շահագրգիռ է տարածաշրջանում կայունության և խաղաղության ապահովմամբ և շարունակելու է նպաստել այդ խնդրի լուծմանը:
Կողմերը մտքեր են փոխանակել Եվրոպական միության նոր քաղաքացիական առաքելության տեղակայման գործընթացի, ինչպես նաև ՀՀ-ում իրականացվող ինստիտուցիոնալ բարեփոխումների ուղղությամբ ՀՀ-ԵՄ համատեղ ծրագրերի ընթացքի շուրջ:
