Միացյալ թագավորության խորհրդարանի Լորդերի պալատի անդամ, բարոնուհի Քերոլայն Քոքսը Ադրբեջանի կողմից Լաչինի միջանցքի արգելափակման հարցով հրատապ նամակ է ուղարկել Համայնքների պալատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի նախագահին՝ կոչ անելով սկսել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի անվտանգության իրավիճակի հետաքննություն, հրատապ կարգով զեկույց ներկայացնել: Նա շեշտել է, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության իրականացման հերթական գործընթացը պետք է կանխվի:

«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ Բարոնուհի Քերոլայն Քոքսը նամակում ընդգծել է, որ Լաչինի միջանցքը՝ Հայաստանը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին (Արցախ) կապող միակ ճանապարհը, մեկ ամսից ավելի է, ինչ շարունակում է շրջափակված լինել, այսպես կոչված, ադրբեջանցի էկոակտիվիստների կողմից: Արցախի Հանրապետության 120 հազար բնակիչներ արտաքին աշխարհից անջատման հետևանքով բախվում են տնտեսական, հումանիտար և առողջապահական ծանր հետևանքների:

Նա շեշտել է նաև առաջացած մի շարք խնդիրների մասին՝ նկատելով, որ շատ քիչ թվով պացիենտների են միայն թույլ տվել Կարմիր Խաչի միջնորդությամբ տեղափոխվել Հայաստան, սակայն կան շատերն, այդ թվում՝ քաղցկեղ ունեցող անձինք, որոնք քիմիաթերապիայի կարիք ունեն և չեն կարողանում ստանալ:

«Արցախի Հանրապետության անվտանգության խորհուրդը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որում ընդգծվում է «վերահաս նոր ցեղասպանության» իրողության մասին և կոչ է անում «միջազգային հանրությանը պատասխանատվություն ստանձնել Ադրբեջանի կողմից իրականացվող ահաբեկչական գործողությունները կանխելու համար» »,-շեշտել է Քերոլայն Քոքսը:

Նա նշել է միջանցքի արգելափակման հետևանքով ընտանիքների անջատման մասին, Հայաստանից Արցախ էլեկտրամատակարարման գծի վնասման ու Ադրբեջանի կողմից դրա վերականգնումը խոչընդոտելու ու դրա ծանր հետևանքների մասին:

«Թեև Հայաստանում Միացյալ Թագավորության դեսպան Ջոն Գալագերը հերքել է Լաչինի միջանցքի վերաբերյալ ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի հայտարարության ձախողման հարցում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի մեղավորության վերաբերյալ մեղադրանքները, սակայն Բելգիայում և Լյուքսեմբուրգում Ադրբեջանի դեսպան Վաքիֆ Սադիկովը «երախտագիտության խոսքեր է հայտնել»  դեկտեմբերի 31-ին Մեծ Բրիտանիային՝ այս հայտարարությունը ձախողելու կապակցությամբ: Սա խորացրել է մտավախությունը, թե Ադրբեջանի հետ մեր Կառավարության լավ հարաբերությունները, որոնք կապված են նավթային շահերի հետ, գերակայություն կունենան Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովրդի կյանքի նկատմամբ»,-նշել է նա:

Հետևաբար, Բարոնուհի Քերոլայն Քոքսն Արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովին խնդրել է հետևյալը.

 Սկսել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի անվտանգության իրավիճակի հետաքննություն

Հրատապ կարգով ներկայացնել այդ արդյունքների մասին զեկույց Արտաքին, գործերի, համագործակցության և զարգացման գրասենյակին
Հանդիպել հայկական սփյուռքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ՝ գնահատելու իրականությունը Ադրբեջանի ապատեղեկատվական արշավի համատեքստում
«Հերթական Հայոց ցեղասպանության գործընթացը պետք է դադարեցվի հիմա»,-եզրափակել է Բարոնուհի Քերոլայն Քոքսը:
