Արցախի պետնախարար Ռուբեն Վարդանյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Այսօր լրանում է Բաքվում հայերի դեմ իրականացված ջարդերի 33-րդ տարելիցը: 1990 թ. հունվարին Բաքվի հայ բնակչության դեմ իրականցված ջարդերի հետևանքով Բաքվում հայ չմնաց: Սումգայիթում, Գանձակում և Բաքվում իրագորված ոճրագործությունների և դրանց անպատժելիության հետևանքով Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ–ում հայերի կյանքը դարձավ անհնար: Հատկանշական է, որ ջարդերից փրկված բազմաթիվ հայ փախստականներ տեղափոխվեցին և իրենց կյանքը շարունակեցին Արցախում:
Խորհրդանշական է և ցավալի, որ ուղիղ 33 տարի անց Ադրբեջանի իշխանությունները կրկին ամեն ինչ անում են անհնար դարձնելու հայերի կյանքը Արցախում: Տասնամյակներ շարունակվող պատերազմներ, մարդկային կորուստներ, այժմ էլ պարտադրված շրջափակում և չդադարող հոգեբանական ճնշում Արցախում ապրող հայերի դեմ: Մեթոդները կարող են փոխվել, սակայն նպատակը պարզ է և հստակ՝ հարկադրել հայերին լքել իրենց հայրենիքը: Այդուհանդերձ, մենք այդ ընտրությունը չունենք: Մենք մեր տնից դուրս չենք գալու, որքան էլ բարդ լինի իրավիճակը: Դա ծանր որոշում է, բայց դա նաև պատմական անհրաժեշտություն է՝ փրկելու Արցախը ոչնչացումից: Դա նաև հայկական աշխարհի պահպանման երաշխիք է:
Այսօր ես իմ հարգանքի տուրքն եմ մատուցում 1990 թ. Բաքվի ջարդերի հետևանքով զոհ գնացած մեր հայրենակիցների հիշատակին: Նաև ուզում եմ կրկնել, որ եթե Ադրբեջանին թվում է հայերից ազատվելով պետք է հասնել խաղաղության, ապա դա շատ սխալ և վտանգավոր պատկերացում է: Ադրբեջանը պետք է գտնի ուղիներ հայերի հետ խաղաղության հաստատման հարցում: Մենք մշտապես բաց ենք եղել կառուցողական քաղաքական երկխոսության առջև: Բայց մենք երբեք չենք հրաժարվի մեր հայրենիքում արժանապատիվ, ազատ ու անվտանգ կյանքով ապրելու իրավունքից:
