Ֆրանսիայի նախագահ Էմանուել Մակրոնը մտադիր չէ «ներողություն խնդրել» Ալժիրի գաղութացման եւ անկախության համար պատերազմում երկրի ունեցած դերի համար։ Այս մասին նա հայտարարել է ֆրանսիական Le Point շաբաթաթերթին տված հարցազրույցում։

Ֆրանսիական նախկին գաղութ Ալժիրը անկախություն է ձեռք բերել 1962 թվականին ութամյա պատերազմից հետո, որը խլել է հարյուր հազարավոր կյանքեր: Պատերազմի դաժանությունը, որը ներառում էր ալժիրցի ազգայնականների մահապատիժն ու խոշտանգումները, անջնջելի հետք է թողել ֆրանսիական քաղաքականության եւ հասարակության վրա եւ շարունակում է չափազանց զգայուն թեմա լինել Ֆրանսիայում:

2017-ին նախագահի այն ժամանակվա թեկնածու Մակրոնը ֆրանսիական գաղութացումն անվանեց «հանցագործություն մարդկության դեմ»՝ խախտելով ֆրանսիացի քաղաքական գործիչների եւ առաջնորդների կողմից այդ թեմայով մանրակրկիտ ընտրված ձեւակերպումները:

Նրա հայտարարությունը սենսացիա առաջացրեց Ֆրանսիայում եւ հույսեր առաջացրեց Ալժիրում, որ նա երկու երկրներին կհաշտեցնի:

Սակայն ընտրվելուց հետո Ֆրանսիայի նախագահը հրաժարվեց իր հայտարարություններից։ Թեեւ նա դատապարտեց 1961 թվականին Փարիզում բողոքի ակցիայի ժամանակ ֆրանսիական ոստիկանության կողմից տասնյակ ալժիրցիների սպանությունը՝ դրանք անվանելով «աններելի», սակայն ձեռնպահ մնաց Ֆրանսիայի գաղութային անցյալի համար պետական մակարդակով ​​ներողություն խնդրելուց:

 «Ալժիրի մասին խոսելը վտանգավոր է, բայց անհրաժեշտ է»,- Le Point-ին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է Մակրոնը։

«Դժվար է, քանի որ դա ներքին թեմա է յուրաքանչյուր [երկրի] համար, որը ստեղծել է «70 տարվա տրավմա»», - հավելել է նա:

Այնուամենայնիվ, «հանրապետության նախագահը չպետք է պահանջի գաղութատիրության գնահատական», - ասել է Մակրոնը։
