Զինվորականները հերոսաբար են գործել Սոլեդարի մարտերում, սակայն հիմնական գործը դեռ առջևում է։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը։

«Սոլեդարում իսկապես հսկայական աշխատանք է կատարվել։ Սրանք բացարձակապես անձնուրաց հերոսական գործողություններ են։ Եվ ոչ միայն Սոլեդարում, այլև շատ տարածքներում, որտեղ հարձակողական գործողություններ են իրականացվում։ Դրանք շարունակվելու են»,- ասել է նա։

Կրեմլի խոսնակը միաժամանակ նշել է, որ «հիմնական աշխատանքը» դեռ առջևում է և որ «կանգ առնելու ժամանակը չէ»։ Նա պարզաբանել է, որ հատուկ ռազմական գործողության բոլոր հայտարարված նպատակները «մնում են օրակարգում»։

Պեսկովը պարզաբանել է, որ խոսքը Դոնեցկի և Լուգանսկի շրջանների՝ 2014-ի դրությամբ սահմաններում ինքնահռչակ Դոնեցկի և Լուգանսկի ժողովրդական հանրապետությունների տարածքների ազատագրման մասին է:

Հունվարի 11-ի գիշերը ռուսական «Վագներ» մասնավոր ռտազմական ընկերության հիմնադիր Եվգենի Պրիգոժինը հայտնել էր, որ ուկրաինական Սոլեդար քաղաքի ամբողջ տարածքը գտնվում է իրենց վերահսկողության տակ։ Նա նշել է, որ այլ ստորաբաժանումներ չեն մասնակցել քաղաքի գրոհին։ Նույն օրը երեկոյան Պրիգոժինը ևս մեկ անգամ ընդգծել է, որ Սոլեդարն ամբողջությամբ ազատագրվել է ուկրաինական բանակից։ 

ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարության հունվարի 11-ի ճեպազրույցում ասվում է, որ ռուսական զորքերը շրջափակում են քաղաքը հյուսիսից և հարավից: Միևնույն ժամանակ գերատեսչությունը հայտնել է, որ Սոլեդարի ազատագրմամբ զբաղվում են օդադեսանտային ուժերի ստորաբաժանումները, ռուսական օդատիեզերական ուժերը նաև հարվածներ են հասցնում թշնամու հենակետերին:

Ավելի վաղ Կրեմլը հորդորել էր սպասել Սոլեդարը վերահսկողության տակ վերցնելու մասին պաշտոնական տեղեկատվությանը։ Միաժամանակ Պեսկովը նշել է հատուկ գործողության անցկացման դրական դինամիկան։
