«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է
realtribune.ru–ն «Եգոր Խոլմոգորով. Գարեգին Նժդեհը կտրել է Թուրանի ջիլը» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, որ հայ ազգային-ազատագրական շարժման առաջնորդ Գարեգին Նժդեհի պատմական վաստակն այն է, որ թուրքական սահմանն այժմ չի սկսվում Դերբենդի մոտից։ Այդ մասին հայտարարել է ռուս քաղաքագետ, հրապարակախոս Եգոր Խոլմոգորովը։ «Նժդեհի պատմական արժանիքն այն է, որ թուրքական սահմանն այժմ չի սկսվում Դերբենդից։ Նժդեհի աստղային ժամը Զանգեզուրի ապստամբությունն էր, երբ նա գրեթե մեկ տարի Զանգեզուրի շրջանը պաշտպանեց բոլ շևիկներից։ Ի՞նչ է Զանգեզուրը։ Դա հայաբնակ լեռնային շրջան է Նախիջևանի և Ադրբեջանի հիմնական տարածքի միջև։ Այդ տարածքը կապում է Հայաստանը Իրանի հետ և, որ ավելի կարևոր է, Նախիջևանը կտրում է Ադրբեջանից։
Այդ ամենը Ռուսական Կայսրությունում բոլորովին անկարևոր էր, բայց շատ կարևոր դարձավ Անդրկովկասի բաժանմամբ։ 1920-ականներին բոլշևիկները եղել են քեմալական Թուրքիայի դաշնակիցները, նրան են զիջել Ռուսաստանի զգալի տարածքներ, որոնք բնակեցված են եղել հայերով։ Սակայն արդարության համար պետք է նշել, որ այդ ժամանակ Թուրքիան վերահսկում էր Անդրկովկասի կեսը, և ավելի հավանական էր, որ նա զիջեր գրավյալ տարածքները, քան դրանք տրվեին իրեն։ Մասնավորապես, Թուրքիան տվել է Նախիջևանը՝ լիովին վստահ լինելով, որ Ադրբեջանական ԽՍՀ-ն կդառնա մի ամբողջական զանգված՝ Նախիջևանից Զանգեզուրով մինչև Ադրբեջան: Նման կերպ Նախիջևանին սահմանակից Թուրքիան սահմանակից կլիներ ողջ Ադրբեջանին։ Սակայն Նժդեհը մեկ տարի իր մարտիկների հետ նստեց Զանգեզուրում և նստեց այնքան, մինչև Զանգեզուրը ընդգրկվեց Խորհրդային Հայաստանի կազմում, այսինքն՝ էթնոքաղաքականությունը հաղթեց Թուրանի աշխարհաքաղաքականությանը։
Արդյունքում Թուրքիան, ինչքան էլ ուզենա, ուղղակի ելք չունի դեպի Ադրբեջան, դա կտրվում է Զանգեզուրով։ Եվ քանի դեռ Զանգեզուրը հայկական է, Ստամբուլից մինչև Դերբենդ շարունակական Թուրանի գաղափարը տեխնիկապես անիրագործելի է։ Թուրքիան, մասնավորապես, չի կարող Ադրբեջանին առաջարկել միաձուլվել ինչ-որ դաշնային կայսրության մեջ պարզապես այն պատճառով, որ աշխարհաքաղաքական առումով դա չի աշխատի: Այսինքն, Զանգեզուրը կանխում է Ռուսաստանի հարավային սահմանի երկայնքով թուրանիզմի տարածումը, որն արդեն իսկ սկսել է ներթափանցել Ղազախստան (և նրանք ծրագրեր ունեն մինչև Յակուտիա)։ Իսկ Թուրանի ջիլը հենց սկզբում կտրողը Գարեգին Նժդեհն էր։ Դրա համար էլ նրանք ատում են նրան, դրա համար հալածում են նրա մասին հիշողությունը, իսկ «կոլաբորացիոնիզմով» այդ ամենը շրջելու դեպքերը միայն պատրվակ են»,- նշել է Խոլմոգորովը հեռագրային իր ալիքում։
