Ջո Բայդենի վարչակազմը հետաձգում է նավթի ազգային պահուստի համալրումը այն բանից հետո, երբ որոշվել է, որ իր ստացած առաջարկները կամ չափազանց թանկ էին, կամ չէին համապատասխանում պահանջներին։

Էներգետիկայի նախարարությունը մերժել է պոտենցիալ գնումների մի քանի առաջարկություններ, որոնք ստացել էր փետրվարին, տեղեկացրել է Bloomberg-ը՝ հղում կատարելով աղբյուրներին։

Դեկտեմբերին նախարարությունը հայտարարել էր, որ մտադիր է համալրել Ռազմավարական նավթային պահուստը՝ սկսած 3 մլն բարելի գնումից հաջորդ ամիս։ Պլանը հետեւել է պահուստից 180 մլն բարել նավթի պատմական բացթողնմանը՝ նախագահ Բայդենի հրամանով։

Էներգետիկայի նախարարությունը կհետաձգի գնումը, որը սկզբում նախատեսել էր, հաջորդ ամսվա համար, բայց նրա ծրագիրը, որտեղ օգտագործվել է նոր մոտեցում, որը նախատեսում է առաջարկների ընդունում ամրագրված գնով, կշարունակվի, ասել է աղբյուրներից մեկը։

Բայդենի վարչակազմը նախատեսում էր նավթի գնումն սկսել այն ժամանակ, երբ դրա գինը կընկնի՝ հասնելով մեկ բարելը 70 դոլարի։ Նավթն այդ գնի հասավ չորրորդ եռամսյակում, եւ բազային գներն ԱՄՆ-ում ընկան այդ մակարդակի անցած ամիս։

«Էներգետիկայի նախարարությունը կընտրի միայն այն առաջարկները, որոնք համապատասխանում են հում նավթի գնման այն պահանջներին եւ այն գնով, որը շահավետ կլինի հարկատուների համար»,- նշվել է հաղորդագրությունում։
