«Պատմամշակութային արգելոց թանգարանների և պատմական միջավայրի պահպանության ծառայություն» ՊՈԱԿ-ի հուշարձանների պահպանության բաժնի գլխավոր մասնագետ Լևոն Մկրտչյանի, Գագիկ Սարգսյանի (ՀՀ ԳԱԱ հնագիտության և ազգագրության ինստիտուտ), Արտակ Գնունու (պ․գ․թ․ ԵՊՀ դասախոս, հնագիտական լաբորատորիայի աշխատակից) Հայկ Ավետիսյանի (պ.գ.դ., պրոֆեսոր, գիտական խմբագիր) հեղինակած գիրքը նվիրված է՝ Արցախի Հանրապետության Քաշաթաղի շրջանի ամրոցներին, բրոնզ-երկաթի դարաշրջանից մինչև ուշ միջնադարի օրինակներ։ Աշխատանքում ներառված է 36 ամրոցի մասին ամփոփ անդրադարձ, որտեղ ժամանակակից տեխնոլոգիաների միջոցով ներկայացվել է յուրաքանչյուր ամրոցի տեղակայման քարտեզը, օրթոֆոտոպլանը, հանույթը և հատակագիծը։  

Այս մասին տեղեկացնում են  «Պատմամշակութային արգելոց թանգարանների և պատմական միջավայրի պահպանության ծառայություն» ՊՈԱԿ-ից: 
 
Լևոն Մկրտչյան հնագետ – Մինչև 2020 թ․ սեպտեմբերը՝ արշավախումբը (արշավախմբի ղեկավար՝ Գ․Սարգսյան) ուսումնասիրում էր Արցախի Հանրապետության ամրոցները, այն կոչվում էր «Արցախի ազատագրված տարածքների նորահայտ ամրոցների ուսումնասիրության ծրագիր», որը իրականացվում էր ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Հայագիտական ուսումնասիրությունները ֆինանսավորող համահայկական հիմնադրամի տրամադրած դրամաշնորհով։ 2020թ․ սեպտեմբերի 27-ի պատերազմի հետևանքով ընդհատվեց ուսումնասիրությունները։ Սակայն հասցրել էինք բավարար քանակությամբ ամրոցներ ուսումնասիրել Քաշաթաղում, Քարվաճառում և մասամբ էլ Հադրութի շրջանի հարավում, ուստի վերը նշված համահեղինակներով որոշեցինք պրակներով հրատարակել մեր ստացած արդյունքները։
 
Գրքում ներկայացվել է հայաստանյան ամրոցաշինությունը լավագույնս ներկայացնող գոտիներից մեկը՝ ելնելով նրանից, որ Սյունիքն ու Արցախը գրեթե միշտ պահել են իրենց տեղական իշխանությունը, անգամ եթե բովանդակ Հայաստանը կարող էր անկախությունը կորցրած լինել, իսկ Քաշաթաղն էլ պատմական Սյունիքի մի մասն է։
 
Հեղինակի խոսքով աշխատությունը նոր շունչ կհաղորդի Հայաստանի ռազմական և լանդշաֆտային հնագիտությամբ, Սյունիքի և Արցախի պատմությամբ զբաղվողների համար, օգտակար կարող է լինել նաև ճարտարապետներին․ Ժամանակակից տեխնոլոգիաների կիրառումը, կհեշտացնի ամրոցների վերակազմության խնդիրը։
 
Լևոն Մկրտչյան հնագետ – 2021 թվականին հետպատերազմյան շրջանում, ունեինք չճշտված և խախուտ սահմաններ։ Գիտության կոմիտեի կողմից շահելով դրամաշնորհը, ավելացրինք նաև ՀՀ Սյունիքի մարզի ամրոցները։ Տարվա արդյունքները ամփոփելով, պետք է նշել, որ կարողացանք շուրջ երեք տասնյակ ամրոցներ ուսումնասիրել։ Սա կարևոր ձեռքբերում է և դրա մեջ իր ավանդն ունի «Պատմամշակութային արգելոց թանգարանների և պատմական միջավայրի պահպանության ծառայություն» ՊՈԱԿ-ը, ինչպես նաև ՊՄՊ Սյունիքի մարզային ծառայությունը։
