Պետդեպարտամենտի ղեկավար Էնթոնի Բլինքենը չորեքշաբթի հայտարարություն է հրապարակել՝ ողջունելով Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկու այցը Վաշինգտոն։
Փաստաթղթում նշվել է Ուկրաինային լրացուցիչ 1,85 մլրդ դոլարի ռազմական օգնություն ցուցաբերելու մասին. օգնության փաթեթով նախատեսված է Ուկրաինային տրամադրել ՀՕՊ Patriot համալիրներ։
Հայտարարությունում ընդգծվել է ԱՄՆ անփոփոխ հավատարմությունն Ուկրաինայի ժողովրդի աջակցության գործին՝ այն շրջանում, երբ Ռուսաստանը «շարունակում է իր դաժան գրոհներն այդ երկրի կրիտիկական կարեւոր ենթակառուցվածքի օբյեկտների» դեմ։
«Վերջին 300 օրերին Կրեմլը անհաջող փորձում է ջնջել Ուկրաինան աշխարհի քարտեզից։ Այժմ Ռուսաստանը փորձում է օգտագործել ձմեռը որպես զենք՝ օգտագործելով ցուրտն ու քաղցի մատնելով Ուկրաինայի խաղաղ բնակիչներին եւ ստիպելով նրանց ընտանիքներին հեռանալ երկրից»,- նշվել է պետքարտուղարի հայտարարությունում։
Նախագահ Բայդենը պետք է չորեքշաբթի հայտարարեր այն մասին, որ ԱՄՆ-ը Ուկրաինային կտրամադրի կրիտիկական կարեւոր, նոր եւ լրացուցիչ ռազմական հնարավորություններ, որպեսզի օգնի նրան պաշտպանել իրեն Ռուսաստանի շարունակվող դաժան եւ չարտոնված հարձակումից։
ԱՄՆ-ն առաջին անգամ որոշել է Ուկրաինա մատակարարել ՀՕՊ Patriot համալիրներ, որոնք կարող են խփել թեւավոր հրթիռներ, փոքր հեռահարության բալիստիկ հրթիռներ եւ ինքնաթիռներ շատ ավելի բարձր հեռավորության վրա, քան մինչ այդ Ուկրաինային տրամադրվող ՀՕՊ համակարգերը։
Բլինքենի հայտարարությունում ընդգծվել է, որ «ԱՄՆ-ը շարունակելու է սերտորեն համագործակցել ավելի քան 50 գործընկերների հետ ամբողջ աշխարհում, հանուն Ուկրաինայի ժողովրդին աջակցության, որը պաշտպանում է իր ազատությունն ու անկախությունն արտասովոր քաջությամբ եւ անսահման վճռականությամբ»։
«Մենք կշարունակենք աջակցել Ուկրաինային այնքան, որքան կպահանջվի, որպեսզի Կիեւը կարողանա պաշտպանել իրեն եւ առավելագույն ուժեղ դիրքեր ապահովել բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ, երբ ժամանակը գա»,- նշվել է փաստաթղթում։
Պետդեպարտամենտը նաեւ նշել է, որ սա Ուկրաինային տրամադրվող ամերիկյան սպառազինությունների եւ մարտական տեխնիկայի արդեն 28-րդ փաթեթն է՝ սկսած 2021թ. օգոստոսից։
