Բելգիայի Արտաքին գործերի նախարարությունն Իրան այցելած իր քաղաքացիներին կոչ է արել հնարավորինս շուտ լքել երկիրը՝ «Իրանի ողջ տարածքում անվտանգության վատթարացող իրավիճակի ֆոնին կամայական կալանավորման մեծ ռիսկի պատճառով»։
«Բելգիացի բոլոր այցելուները, այդ թվում երկքաղաքացիները, գտնվում են ձերբակալության, կամայական կալանքի եւ անարդար դատավարության բարձր ռիսկի տակ: Այս ռիսկը տարածվում է նաեւ այն մարդկանց վրա, ովքեր պարզապես այցելում են Իրան զբոսաշրջության նպատակով։ Ձերբակալության կամ կալանավորման դեպքում մարդկանց հիմնարար իրավունքներն ու անվտանգությունը երաշխավորված չեն։
Այս համատեքստում Թեհրանում Բելգիայի դեսպանատան հնարավորությունները՝ Իրանում ձերբակալված կամ կալանավորված քաղաքացիների համար հյուպատոսական պաշտպանություն հարցում խիստ սահմանափակ են: Ավելին, երկու քաղաքացու դեպքում հյուպատոսական այցելություններ չեն թույլատրվում, քանի որ Իրանը չի ճանաչում երկքաղաքացիությունը։
Բացի այդ, հնարավոր դատավարության ընթացքում հյուպատոսության ներկայությունը լսումներին երաշխավորված չէ, եւ կալանավորը հնարավորություն չունի ինքն ընտրել իր փաստաբանին: Փաստաբանը նույնպես կարող է ենթարկվել խիստ սահմանափակումների:
Ուստի Բելգիայի քաղաքացիներին, այդ թվում՝ երկքաղաքացիություն ունեցողներին, խստորեն խորհուրդ է տրվում ձեռնպահ մնալ Իրան մեկնելուց: Բելգիայի քաղաքացիներին, ովքեր, չնայած այս նախազգուշացմանը, ներկայումս գտնվում են Իրանում, խնդրում ենք լինել չափազանց զգոն եւ ձեռնարկել անհրաժեշտ նախազգուշական միջոցներ՝ իրենց անվտանգությունն ապահովելու համար։ Վերջերս Բելգիայի մի քաղաքացի եւ արեւմտյան երկրների մի քանի այլ քաղաքացիներ կամայականորեն ձերբակալվել են եւ ներկայումս գտնվում են բանտում: Բելգիացիներին եւ երկքաղաքացիներին խնդրում են հնարավորինս շուտ վերադառնալ: Նրանց խստորեն խորհուրդ է տրվում սահմանափակել իրենց տեղաշարժերը երկրի ներսում, խուսափել ցանկացած հավաքույթներից եւ ներկայանալ Թեհրանում Բելգիայի դեսպանատուն՝ գրանցվելով Travelers Online կայքում»,- ասվում է Բելգիայի ԱԳՆ-ի տարածած հաղորդագրությունում։
