Հայաստանի Հանրապետության գլխավոր դատախազ Աննա Վարդապետյանը նոյեմբերի 22-ին ընդունել է ՀՀ-ում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Աբբաս Բադախշան Զոհուրիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Աննա Վարդապետյանը բարձր է գնահատել դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հարուստ փորձառության հիման վրա երկու երկրների իրավապահ կառույցների միջև առկա համագործակցությունը և վստահեցրել է, որ երկուստեք արդյունավետ աշխատանքի հիման վրա այն կընդլայնվի և նոր որակ ձեռք կբերի:

Դեսպանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ գլխավոր դատախազին հանդիպման հնարավորության համար և ընդգծել, որ Իրանի ու Հայաստանի միջև 3000-ամյա պատմամշակութային ամուր կապերը լավ հիմք են բոլոր ուղղություններով հարաբերությունների զարգացման համար, ինչն ականառու է հատկապես վերջին երկու տարիների ընթացքում: Այս համատեքստում դեսպան Զոհուրին ընդգծել է, որ Իրանի համար հարևան երկիր Հայաստանի հետ հարաբերությունները առաջնահերթություն են, որի փոխադարձ լինելը հաստատված է նաև երկու երկրների ղեկավարությունների կողմից: Ի պատասխան Աննա Վարդապետյանի՝ Սյունիքում Իրանի գլխավոր հյուպատոսություն բացելու վերաբերյալ բարձր գնահատականի, դեսպան Զոհուրին վերահաստատել է Իրանի համար Հայաստանի Սյունիքի մարզի կարևորությունն ու ընդգծել, որ մարզի նկատմամբ որևէ պետություն չպետք է ունենա որևէ նկրտում:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Հայաստանի գլխավոր դատախազը և Հայաստանում Իրանի դեսպանը անդրադարձ են կատարել փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող մի շարք հարցերի, որոնք հիմնականում վերաբերել են դատապարտյալների արտահանձնմանն ու քրեական գործերով իրավական օգնությանը, թմրամիջոցների ապօրինի շրջանառության դեմ պայքարի հարցերով արդյունավետ ու օպերատիվ փոխգործակցությանը:
