Հանրապետության չորրորդ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը շնորհավորել է Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Ջո Բայդենին՝ ծննդյան 80-ամյակի առթիվ:

«Հարգելի պարոն նախագահ,

Ընդունեք իմ ջերմ ու անկեղծ շնորհավորանքը Ձեր ծննդյան օրվա առթիվ։

Չափազանցություն չի լինի ասել, որ մենք, որպես համաշխարհային հանրություն, հեղեղված ենք մեկը մյուսին հաջորդող ճգնաժամերով, որոնք համաշխարհային ղեկավարներից պահանջում են արդյունավետ առաջնորդություն, պրոֆեսիոնալիզմ, նվիրվածություն և հետևողականություն: Սրանք այն որակներն են, որոնք Դուք մշտապես դրսևորել եք Ձեր երկար ու նշանակալի գործունեության ընթացքում: Կայուն կանաչ ապագա ստեղծելու և ազատական միջազգային հասարակարգը պահպանելու Ձեր հանձնառությունը հույս է ներշնչում, ինչպես նաև նպաստել է ողջ աշխարհում անորոշության այդքան անհրաժեշտ նվազմանը:

Միացյալ Նահանգները, որպես մեծ և ազդեցիկ հայկական սփյուռքի հյուրընկալ երկիր, հատուկ տեղ է գրավում յուրաքանչյուր հայի սրտում: Միևնույն ժամանակ, յուրաքանչյուր հայ առանձնահատուկ երախտագիտություն է տածում Ձեր նկատմամբ, պարոն Նախագահ։ Սենատորի և փոխնախագահի պաշտոնում Հայաստանին աջակցության և բարեկամության Ձեր երկար տարիների գործունեությունը, ինչպես նաև որպես Նախագահ, Ձեր կարևոր որոշումը՝ պաշտոնապես ճանաչել 1915թ. Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի ցեղասպանությունը, ամենուրեք առաջացրել են հայերի ջերմ վերաբերմունքն ու հիացմունքը Ձեր նկատմամբ:

Մենք երախտապարտ ենք նաև Միացյալ Նահանգների հետևողական ջանքերի համար՝ օգնելու Հայաստանին՝ տարածաշրջանային կայուն խաղաղություն հաստատել իր հարևան երկրների հետ։

Համատեղ մենք շատ բանի ենք հասել։ Բայց այնուամենայնիվ, դեռևս մեծ հնարավորություն կա խորացնելու մեր երկու երկրների հարաբերությունները՝ ի շահ մեր ժողովուրդների։ Ես միշտապես բարձր եմ գնահատել բազմաթիվ առիթներով մեր հանդիպումներն ու մտքերի փոխանակումը, որոնք շատ օգտակար էին: Պատրաստ եմ իմ նպաստը բերել Հայաստանի և Միացյալ Նահանգների միջև հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում։
