Ադրբեջանն ունի այսպիսի դիրքորոշում, թե 2021 թվականի մայիսից առաջ էլ կան տարածքներ,որոնք Հայաստանն «օկուպացրել է», և իրենք կարծում են, որ Հայաստանն էլ իր հերթին պետք է դուրս գա այդ տարածքներից։ Այս մասին Ազգային ժողովում այսօր հայտարարեց ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը

«Մենք ասում ենք՝ շատ լավ, եթե կան տարածքներ, որտեղից Հայաստանը պետք է դուրս գա, ապա ի՞նչ սահմանով, եթե հասկանանք այդ սահմանը, ապա դա կարող է Հայաստանի համար լինի շատ ընդունելի խոսակցություն, եթե Ադրբեջանն ասում է որ Հայաստանը հյուսիս–արևելքում օկուպացիայի տակ է պահում Ադրբեջանի որոշ տարածքներ, նշանակում է, որ այդտեղ մի տարածքային բաժանում կա: Մենք ասում ենք՝ շատ լավ, ցույց տվեք մեզ գիծը, և դա կարող է լինել հետաքրքիր, և մենք դա չենք մերժում, որովհետև այդ նույն տարածքներում հայկական չորս գույղերի տարածքների մեծամասնությունն օկուպացված է։ Օրինակ, Տավուշի մարզի Բերքաբեր գյուղի վարելահողերի մոտ 70 տոկոսն օկուպացված է, Պառավաքար գյուղի վարելահողերի մոտ 70 տոկոսն օկուպացված է, Այգեհովիտ, Վազաշեն գյուղերի վարելահողերը ևս, դա եղել է 1991–94թթ․»,–ասաց Փաշինյանը։

Նրա խոսքով՝ եթե ադրբեջանական կողմը ցույց տա քարտեզը, սահմանի գիծն ու իրավական հիմնավորումը, ապա հայկական կողմը պատրաստ է իրադրությունը զարգացնել այնպես, որ ամբողջ սահմանի երկայնքով ոչ ադրբեջանական, ոչ հայաստանյան օկուպացված տարածքներ չլինեն:
