Պեմզաշենի իր տանը սպանված հայտնաբերված Զարինեն 2019 թվականի հունվարից աշխատում էր Պեմզաշենի առողջության կենտրոնում որպես համակարգչային օպերատոր։ Կենտրոնի տնօրեն Վարդուհի Խաչատրյանը NEWS.am-ի հետ զրույցում պատմեց, որ Զարինեն նախօրեին աշխատանքի չի գնացել, ինչը տարօրինակ է թվացել տնօրենին, որովհետեւ նա պունկտուալ աշխատող էր, եւ միշտ զգուշացնում էր տնօրենին, եթե աշխատանքի պետք է ներկայանար ուշացած։

«Ինձ համար արտառոց էր, որ Զարինեն ինձ չէր տեղեկացրել, որ չի գալու։ Մուտքագրում պետք է արվեր, օնլայն ուղեգիր կար վիրահատության։ Երբ եկան հիվանդները, քույրերին հարցրեցի՝ Զառան եկե՞լ է, ասացին՝ չէ, անմիջապես զանգեցի մի քանի անգամ, չպատասխանեց։ Հետո բուժքրոջն ասացի, որ զանգի ֆիզարձակուրդում գտնվող հաշվապահին, որի աղջիկը մտերիմ է Զառայի հետ, բայց հաշվապահի աղջիկը չէր պատասխանել։ Որոշեցինք զանգել դպրոց, որ ուսուցչուհին աշակերտուհուց ճշտի՝ մայրն ինչու չէ զանգերին պատասխանում, բայց իմացանք, որ Զառայի երեխաներն էլ դասի չեն գնացել։ Որոշեցինք զանգել հարեւանին, որ գնար դուռը խփեր, տեսներ՝ ուր է, ու հարեւանը գնացել էր, դուռը խփել, չէին բացել, կողքի հարեւաններին էին զանգել, նրանք էլ չին բացել, հետո միայն տան հետնամուտքի դուռը հրել են, ու մտել տուն ու տեսել էդ տեսարանը։ Զանգել էին բուժքրոջս, պատմել  տեսածների մասին, ու մեկ էլ լսեցի լացուկոծի ձայն, կաբինետիցս դուրս եկա ու ասացին, որ Զառան երեխաների հետ չկա»,– պատմեց Պեմզաշենի առողջության կենտրոնի տնօրենը՝ հավելելով, որ առաջին հերթին մտածել են, թե շմոլ գազի թունավորումից են մահացել Զարինեն ու նրա երկու անչափահաս երեխաները։

«Մարդու ուղեղն այլ բան չէր մտածի, մանավանդ, որ ինքը շատ խաղաղ էր, կոնֆլիկտային չէր, թշնամիներ չուներ։ Աշխատանքով ապրող մարդիկ էին։ Զարինեն կիրթ, բանիմաց, յուրահատուկ աղջիկ էր, պատրաստակամ, ակտիվ ու աշխատող։ Կես բառից հասկանում էր, մեր հիմնարկի աշխուժությունն էր»,– պատմեց Պեմզաշենի առողջության կենտրոնի տնօրենը։

Վարդուհի Խաչատրյանի խոսքով՝ Զարինեն հոկտեմբերին արձակուրդում է եղել, նոյեմբերի 1–ից է վերադարձել աշխատանքի։ Նոյեմբերի 8–ին, երբ աշխատանքից ժամը 4–ին դուրս է եկել, ասել է՝ գնում է տուն, որ ապուր եփի։ Երեկոյան էլ զրուցել է հաշվապահի հետ, նորմալ տրամադրությամբ է եղել, արտառոց բան չի նկատվել նրա մոտ։
