Այսօր նշվում է Գիտության համաշխարհային օրը, որի առանցքային խորհուրդը հասարակության ուշադրությունը դեպի գիտությունն ուղղելն է, դրա դերի և նշանակության կարևորությունը ևս մեկ անգամ ընդգծելը: Այս մասին հայտարարություն է տարածել ԿԳՄՍՆ-ն:
Հայտարարությունում նաեւ նշվում է. «Սա հրաշալի առիթ է՝ իրազեկելու քաղաքացիներին գիտության միտումների մասին, մեծացնելու հետաքրքրությունը դրա նկատմամբ, խրախուսելու և նպաստելու նոր նվաճումների գաղափարի իրագործմանը, գիտության ոլորտում կրկնապատկելու աջակցությունը, ստեղծելու ազգային և միջազգային համերաշխության կամուրջ տարբեր երկրների գիտական ձեռքբերումների միջև, և, ի վերջո, գիտության շուրջ համախմբելու համաշխարհային հանրությանը:
Դուք պետության կարևոր հիմնասյունն եք, ձեր ուսերին է դրված մեր կայուն և զարգացած ապագայի պատասխանատվությունը, պետականամետ և իրավագիտակից քաղաքացու կայացման տեսլականը: Այս ուղղությամբ ՀՀ կառավարությունը շարունակաբար թիրախավորված ծրագրեր է իրականացնում՝ բարձրացնելու հետաքրքրությունը գիտության նկատմամբ՝ սկսած դպրոցական նստարանից, աջակցելու գիտության նվիրյալներին, որպեսզի կյանքի կոչեն իրենց գաղափարները, որոնք կնպաստեն գիտական մտքի կայացմանն ու իրագործմանը: Ձեր գործունեությունը, իրավամբ, ոչ միայն հայրենանպաստ է, այլև իր անուրանալի դերն ու կշիռն ունի համաշխարհային նվաճումների շարքում, ինչի համար ձեզ երախտապարտ է ամբողջ աշխարհը:
