Միացյալ Նահանգների մայրաքաղաք Վաշինգտոնում ամերիկյան կողմի նախաձեռնությամբ, նոյեմբերի 7֊ին տեղի ունեցավ ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենի, Հայաստանի արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանի և Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ նախարար Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի հանդիպումը։ Հանդիպման մեկնարկին բացման խոսքով հանդես եկավ պետքարտուղար Բլինքենը, ով, մասնավորապես, նշել է.
«Ողջունում եմ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի արտաքին գործերի նախարարներին՝ արտգործնախարարներ Միրզոյանին և Բայրամովին այստեղ՝ Բլեյր Հաուսում, Վաշինգտոնում, ովքեր ժամանել են շարունակելու այն շատ արդյունավետ քննարկումները, որոնք մենք նախաձեռնել էինք Նյու Յորքում ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայում, իսկ այնուհետև մեր թիմերի միջև հետագա զրույցների շրջանակում: Միացյալ Նահանգները հավատարիմ է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղ բանակցություններին:
Ուղիղ երկխոսությունը իսկապես կայուն խաղաղության լավագույն միջոցն է: Եվ մենք շատ ուրախ ենք աջակցելու դրանք: Միացյալ Նահանգները վճռականորեն աջակցում է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ինքնիշխանությանը և տարածքային անկախությանը: 1991 թվականի անկախության վերականգնումը չափազանց կարևոր պահ է երկու երկրների իրավունքների երաշխավորման հարցում մենք դա մեծապես աջակցում ենք:
Կարծում եմ, որ արդարացի է նաև ասել, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի շուրջ 30 և ավելի տարիներ շարունակվող հակամարտությունը հսկայական մարդկային նյութական կորուստների է հանգեցրել, բազմաթիվ կորսված կյանքերի:
Սպիերը դեռևս բավականին խորն են, բայց այն, ինչին մենք այժմ ականատես ենք՝ իրական և խիզախ քայլեր են երկու երկրների կողմից՝ անցյալը հետևում թողնելու և կայուն խաղաղության ուղղությամբ աշխատելու համար: Երկու երկրներն էլ աշխատում են այդ նպատակին հասնելու և, ի վերջո, Հարավային Կովկասի ավելի պայծառ ապագայի համար՝ խաղաղության ապագայի, խաղաղության մեջ գտնվող երկրների ապագայի, ավելի լավ ապագայի միասին աշխատող երկրների համար: Ես ցանկանում եմ նշել, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի բարեկամն է, և հանձնառու է անել ամենը մեր ուժերում՝ Ձեր այս ջանքերին աջակցելու, ձեզ հետ միասնաբար դեպի կայուն խաղաղություն ճանապարհ հարթելու, հնարավոր ամեն ինչով Ձեզ օգնելու համար: Սա, կարծում եմ, ավելի լավ և պայծառ ապագայի խոստումն է, և ես ողջունում եմ և՛ Ձեր, և՛ Ձեր կառավարությունների այն խիզախությունը և վճռականությունը, որ ցուցաբերում եք այդ նպատակակետին հասնելու համար: Այնպես որ, շնորհակալություն Ձեզ և ձեր թիմերին՝ այստեղ գտնվելու համար: Եվ ես անհամբեր սպասում եմ մեր զրույցին:
