Հոկտեմբերի 4-ին Ադրբեջանը հայկական կողմին հանձնեց ավելի քան 17 հայ ռազմագերու: Գաղտնիք չէ, որ թե՛ 44-օրյա պատերազմի, թե՛ սեպտեմբերի 13-ին ադրբեջանական ագրեսիայի հետևանքով մի քանի տասնյակ տղաներ հայտնվել են գերության մեջ: Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները որպես «պետական գաղտնիք» չեն ասում, թե ի վերջո քանի հայ ռազմագերի է այս պահին գտնվում Ադրբեջանում: Մի կողմից թշնամի պետության ղեկավարն է հայտարարում, թե Ադրբեջանում հայ ռազմագերիներ չկան, մյուս կողմում էլ՝ Հայաստանի գործող իշխանությունները չեն հայտնում գերիների իրական թիվը: Բայց գերիների թեման այլ նրբություններ էլ ունի։ Եթե առաջին փուլում բոլորս անհամբեր սպասում էինք գերիների վերադարձին, Ադրբեջանից վերադարձող գերիներին հերոսացնում էինք, բժշկական օգնություն ցուցաբերում, խնամում եւ փայփայում, ապա ինչ-որ պահից սկսեցին քննադատել, թե՝ ինչու են նրանք գերի հանձնվել։ Սկսեցին խոսել, որ գերիների մի մասը դավաճաններ են, միտումնավոր են հանձնվում եւ այլն։ Այս թեման հենց ինքը՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը շրջանառության մեջ դրեց՝ հայտարարելով, որ դեռ պետք է պարզենք, թե ով ինչ պայմաններում է գերի ընկել։ Բայց վերադարձող գերիների հետ կապված այլ թեմա էլ կա՝ նրանցից ոմանց կրկին զինծառայության են տանում։

Հոկտեմբերի 4-ին ադրբեջանական գերությունից ազատված Սասուն Կարապետյանը գերեվարվել էր այս սեպտեմբերյան դեպքերի ժամանակ։ Նրա ազգականներից մեկը մեզ հետ զրույցում ասաց, որ մեկ շաբաթ առաջ գերությունից վերադարձած տղան կրկին մեկնել է զինվորական ծառայության: Մեր զրուցակցի պնդմամբ՝ Ադրբեջանում գերությունից վերադարձած տղան մեզ մոտ չի ստացել ո՛չ կլինիկական, և ոչ էլ հոգեբանական աջակցություն։ Փոխարենը ստացել է բանակ մեկնելու ծանուցում, համաձայն որի՝ պետք է ավարտին հասցնի զինվորական ծառայությունը: «Տղայի ծնողները չեն ցանկանում այս մասին խոսել, քանի որ Սասունն ինքը ծառայությունն ավարտին հասցնելու պատրաստակամության մասին հայտնել է»,- ասաց մեր զրուցակիցը: 

Բանն այն է, որ նա 2 տարվա ծառայությունից ութ ամիսը չի ծառայել եւ պետք է լրացնի։ Այսինքն, ենթադրվում է, որ գերությունը սանատորիա գնալուն համարժեք մի բան է եղել՝ զինծառայողը գնացել է, հանգստացել, հիմա վերադարձել է ու պետք է շարունակի իր ծառայությունը հայրենիքին։ Ռազմական փորձագետներից մեկը մեզ մի ուշագրավ դիտարկում էլ փոխանցեց՝ գերության մեջ գտնվող զինծառայողին ոչ միայն բուժում, հոգեբանական ռեաբիլիտացիա է պետք, այլ նրան նաեւ պետք է ստուգել՝ արդյո՞ք նրա հետ թշնամու անվտանգության մարմինները, հետախուզությունը աշխատանքներ չեն կատարել։ Պարզ ասած՝ պետք է ստուգվի՝ նրան վերբովկա արել են, թե՞ ոչ։ Այսինքն, այս պահին՝ առանց համապատասխան ստուգումների, նրան բանակ ուղարկելը հղի է տարբեր վտանգներով։
