Ուկրաինայի իրադրության կարգավորման հարցում վճռորոշ ձայնը Վաշինգտոնինն է, այլ ոչ թե Կիևինը, որի հետ «անհնար է ինչ-որ բանի մասին խոսել», հայտարարել է Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը:
«Ակնհայտ է, որ որոշիչ ձայնը Վաշինգտոնինն է։ Դե, անհնար է ինչ-որ բանի մասին խոսել, օրինակ՝ Կիևի հետ։ Կիևում կա նախագահ, Ուկրաինայի օրինական նախագահ պարոն Զելենսկի, բայց նրա հետ ինչ-որ պայմանավորվածություններ ձեռք բերելը, հիմնվելով մարտ ամսվա փորձի վրա, հնարավոր է, բայց այդ պայմանավորվածությունները ոչինչ չարժեն, քանի որ դրսից հրահանգով դրանք կարող են անհապաղ չեղարկվել», — ասել է նա Պավել Զարուբինին «Մոսկվա։ Կրեմլ։ Պուտին» հաղորդման ժամանակ «Ռոսիա 1» հեռուստաալիքում։
Կրեմլի ներկայացուցչի խոսքով՝ Պուտինը պատրաստ է բանակցությունների եւ Արեւմուտքում պետք է դա իմանան։
«Նախագահն անընդհատ ասում է, որ ինքը բաց է բանակցային գործընթացի համար, այսինքն՝ միշտ ավելի լավ է հասնել սեփական շահերին՝ ապահովելով սեփական անվտանգությունը, բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ։ Եվ Պուտինը դրա համար բաց է, նա այսօր ևս մեկ անգամ հաստատեց դա։ Պատրաստ են արդյոք, թե պատրաստ չեն, բայց Արեւմուտքում պետք է դա իմանան, պետք է դա լսեն», — հավելել է Պեսկովը։
