Հայաստանում 1200 Մվտ-անոց ատոմային բլոկ կառուցելու մասին խոսելը տգիտություն է, հիմարություն, նաև սրիկայություն է: Այս կարծիքին է էներգետիկ փորձագետ Էդվարդ Արզումանյանը, որը ժամանակավրեպ է համարում ԱԷԿ-ի նոր՝ 1200 Մվտ հզորությամբ էներգաբլոկ կառուցելու մասին խոսակցությունները: «Հայաստանում 1200 Մվտ հզորությամբ ատոմային բլոկ ունենալու մասին մտածելը պետական հանցագործություն է, ինչի մասին գրել եմ նաև սեպտեմբերի 28-ի իմ նամակում՝ ուղղված վարչապետին: Այդ նամակն ուղարկել էին ՏԿԵ նախարարություն: Հոկտեմբերի 19-ին հանդիպել եմ փոխնախարարի հետ: 45 րոպե տևեց զրույցը, իմ բոլոր հարցադրումների, հիմնավորումների հետ չհամաձայնեցին:

Այդքանից հետո ջղայնացա՝ դուռն ուժեղ հարվածելով դուրս եկա: Դրանից հետո ՏԿԵ նախարարը հարցազրույց է տալիս ու ասում, որ ռուսների հետ ոչ միայն 1200 Մվտ-ի, այլև ավելի փոքր հզորությունների մասին են քննարկում, օրինակ՝ 600 կամ 200 Մվտ»,- «Փաստի» հետ զրույցում ասում է Արզումանյանը: Նա սխալ է համարում նաև այն հիմնավորումն ու սպասելիքները, թե նոր էներգաբլոկը հնարավորություն կտա տարածաշրջանում ունենալ բավականին մատչելի գնով ավելցուկ էլեկտրաէներգիա:

Արզումանյանը համարում է, որ երբ նոր կառուցվածը սկսի աշխատել, ապա արտադրված էլեկտրաէներգիայի սակագինը մոտակա 10-15 տարվա ընթացքում 2,5-3 անգամ ավելի բարձր կլինի, քան 15-20 տարի հետո: «Առաջին 10-15 տարվա մեջ իրականացվող բոլոր դրամական ծախսերը պետք է փոխհատուցվեն: Որպես էժան արտադրված էլեկտրաէներգիա՝ դրսում վաճառելու մասին հիմնավորումը սխալ է, անհնարին է»,-ասաց նա:
