Իրաքում 2700 տարվա ասորական փորագրություններ են հայտնաբերվել

Ամերիկացի եւ իրաքցի հնագետները հյուսիսային Իրաքի Մոսուլ քաղաքում հայտնաբերել են հնագույն քանդակներ, որոնք ենթադրաբար ավելի քան 2700 տարեկան են: Մարմարե սալիկներ են հայտնաբերվել գրոհայինների կողմից ավերված հնագույն դարպասների վերականգնման ժամանակ։
Ռելիեֆները պատկերում են պատերազմի տեսարաններ հնագույն Նինվե քաղաքում՝ Ասորեստանի թագավորների գահակալության ժամանակներից, ասվում է Իրաքի հնությունների եւ ժառանգության պետական վարչության տարածած հայտարարության մեջ: Ենթադրաբար, փորագրությունները թվագրվում են Սենեքերիմ թագավորի ժամանակներին, ով ղեկավարել է իր ժողովրդին մ.թ.ա. 750-ից 681 թվականներին:
Գտածոն բաղկացած է ութ մարմարե սալերից, որոնց վրա փորագրված են ասորեստանցի ռազմիկներ, ինչպես նաեւ արմավենիներ, խաղող, նուռ եւ թզեր, որոնք եղել են Սենեքերիմ թագավորի պալատում։
Սենեքերիմը պատասխանատու էր Նինվեի՝ կայսերական մայրաքաղաքի եւ ասորեստանցիների ամենամեծ քաղաքի ընդարձակման համար, որը գտնվում էր Իրանական բարձրավանդակի եւ Միջերկրական ծովի միջեւ՝ նշանակալի խաչմերուկում։ Նա նաեւ շքեղ պալատ է կառուցել։
Հնագետների խոսքով, փորագրված պատկերներով այս սալերը վերցրել են պալատից եւ նորից օգտագործել է որպես շինանյութ՝ դարպաս մեծացնելու համար։
Հարկ է նշել, որ դարպասը Նինվեում ամենամեծերից էր եւ խորհրդանշում էր քաղաքի չափն ու հզորությունը։ Դարպասը վերակառուցվել է 1970-ականներին, սակայն 2016-ին զինյալները այն ոչնչացրել են։
Այնուամենայնիվ, քանի որ տեղադրման ժամանակ մարմարե սալերը մասամբ թաղվել են հողի մեջ, այդ հատվածները պահպանվել են, եւ այժմ գիտնականները կարողացել են տեսնել հնամյա փորագրությունները: Մինչդեռ այն ամենը, ինչ գետնից բարձր է եղել, այժմ ամբողջովին ավերված է։
