ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը սկանդալի կիզակետում է հայտնվել այն բանից հետո, ինչ հայտարարել է, որ Պակիստանն աշխարհի ամենավտանգավոր երկրներից մեկն է։ ԱՄՆ նախագահի այս հայտարարությունից հետո Պակիստանում Միացյալ նահանգների դեսպանին հոկտեմբերի 15-ին հրավիրել են երկրի ԱԳՆ՝ իրենց հիասթափությունն ու մտահոգությունը հայտնելու, հաղորդում է Fox News հեռուստաալիքը։
Նշվում է, որ Բայդենը նման հայտարարություն է արել Լոս Անջելեսում Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության դրամահավաքի ժամանակ։
«Կարծում եմ՝ հնարավոր է, որ աշխարհի ամենավտանգավոր ազգերից մեկը պակիստանցիներն են։ Միջուկային զենք՝ առանց որևէ համախմբվածության», - ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը։
Հաղորդվում է, որ Բայդենի այս խոսքերից հետո Պակիստանի ԱԳ նախարարի պաշտոնակատար Ջաուհար Սալիմը ԱԳՆ է կանչել Պակիստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Դոնալդ Բլոմին՝ քննադատելով ԱՄՆ նախագայի «անհիմն արտահայտությունները» և նշելով, որ դրանք «հիմնված չեն իրականության կամ փաստերի վրա»։
«Պակիստանը պատասխանատու միջուկային պետություն է։ Միջուկային ծրագրի նրա անբասիր ղեկավարումն ու հավատարմությունը համաշխարհային չափանիշներին և միջազգային առաջադեմ փորձին լայն ճանաչում են գտել, այդ թվում՝ ՄԱԳԱՏԷ-ի կողմից»,- ասված է երկրի արտգործնախարարության հայտարարության մեջ:
Միջադեպին անդրադարձել է նաև Պակիստանի վարչապետ Շեհբազ Շարիֆը։
«Պակիստանը պատասխանատու միջուկային պետություն է, և մենք հպարտ ենք, որ մեր միջուկային ակտիվներն ունեն լավագույն երաշխիքները՝ համաձայն ՄԱԳԱՏԷ-ի պահանջների: Մենք շատ մեծ լրջությամբ ենք մոտենում անվտանգության այս միջոցները։ Թող ոչ մեկի մոտ կասկած չլինի», - գրել է Շարիֆն իր թվիթերյան էջում։
