Ալբանիայում որոշել են տնտեսել տաք ջրի վրա՝ արևային վահանակների միջոցով։ Ալբանիայի էներգետիկայի նախարարությունը նոր նախաձեռնություն է սկսել։ Շարքային քաղաքացիների բնակարանների և տների համար արևային վահանակներ են արտադրելու և տեղադրելու, իսկ կառավարությունն իր վրա է վերցնելու ծախսերի 70 տոկոսը։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ որոշվել է առաջին փուլում 2000 ընտանիքների համար արևային վահանակներ տեղադրել, սակայն հետագայում զգալի ավելացնել այդ արևային վահանակները՝ ավելի ու ավելի շատ կրճատելով կառավարության ծախսերը։

Ընդհանուր առմամբ երկրում էլեկտրաէներգիայի սպառման 20 տոկոսը տնային տնտեսություններում ծախսվում է ջուր տաքացնելու վրա, և այժմ կառավարության այս նախաձեռնությունը կօգնի ոչ միայն զգալի նվազեցնել էլեկտրականության ծախսերը, այլ նաև կնպաստի կլիմայի փոփոխությունների դեմ պայքարին։ Ալբանիայի կառավարությունը հայտարարել է, որ արևային վահանակներ տեղադրելու որոշումը ռազմավարական նշանակություն ունի երկրի համար։

Եվրոպայի ամենաաղքատ պետություններից մեկը, որտեղ ստիպված են ավելի ու ավելի շատ տնտեսումներ իրականացնել, գիտակցում է արևային էներգիայի օգտագործման անհրաժեշտությունը և ամեն ինչ անում դրանց արտադրությունը հենց տեղում իրականացնելու համար։ Կառավարության փոխանցմամբ՝ երկրում մի քանի տասնյակ ընկերություններ են ստեղծվել վերջին երկու-երեք տարիներին, որոնք զբաղվում են թե՛ արևային վահանակների արտադրությամբ և թե՛ դրանց տեղադրման ու շահագործման աշխատանքներով։

Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը այս հարցում զիջում է ոչ միայն եվրոպական առաջատար պետություններին, այլ նույնիսկ Եվրոպայի ամենաաղքատ պետություններից մեկին՝ Ալբանիային։

Հայաստանում արևային վահանակներ արտադրող ընկերությունը միայն մեկն է՝ «Սոլարոնը», այլ ընկերություններ առայժմ նույնիսկ հեռանկարում գոյություն չունեն, մինչդեռ մեր կառավարությունը ինքը պետք է շահագրգռված լիներ վաղուց արդեն Հայաստանում արևային էներգիայի արտադրության ոլորտին նոր թափ հաղորդելու համար։
