Ամերիկյան կողմի նախաձեռնությամբ հոկտեմբերի 4-ին հեռախոսազրույց է տեղի ունեցել Հայաստանի արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանի, ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինկենի և Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարար Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի միջև։

ԱԳՆ մամուլի ծառայությունից NEWS.am -ին հայտնեցին, որ կողմերը ներկայացրել են իրենց տեսակետները հոկտեմբերի 2-ին Ժնեւում կայացած հանդիպման արդյունքների վերաբերյալ։

Արարատ Միրզոյանը վերահաստատել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ինքնիշխան տարածքից ադրբեջանական զինուժի դուրսբերման, Ադրբեջանում ապօրինի պահվող հայ ռազմագերիների շուտափույթ վերադարձի և հրադադարի անվերապահ պահպանման անհրաժեշտությունը։ Ընդգծվել է ուժային կամ ուժի սպառնալիքով հարցեր լուծելու անթույլատրելիությունը։

Նոր ագրեսիաների կանխարգելման համատեքստում ընդգծվել է սահմանին իրավիճակի մոնիտորինգի և վերահսկման միջազգային մեխանիզմների ներդրման կարևորությունը։

Հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում զրուցակիցները մտքեր են փոխանակել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև խաղաղության պայմանագրի մշակման և Ստեփանակերտի ու Բաքվի միջև քննարկման մեխանիզմի ստեղծման շուրջ։

Պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել շարունակել բանակցությունները՝ ուղղված Հարավային Կովկասում կայունության և անվտանգության հաստատմանը։
