Ֆինլանդիայի արտգործնախարար Պեկկա Հաավիստոն հաստատել է, որ հանրապետությունը մտածում է Ռուսաստանի հետ սահմանին պարիսպ կառուցելու մասին։ Այս մասին նա ասել է իսպանական El Mundo թերթին տված հարցազրույցում։

Նրա խոսքով, ներկայումս սահմանին շատ հանգիստ է, ռազմական սպառնալիքներ չկան։ Դիվանագետը կարծում է, որ դա պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ Ռուսաստանը իր բանակի մեծ մասը կենտրոնացրել է Ուկրաինայում։

«Սակայն կան սպառնալիքների այլ հասկացություններ, օրինակ՝ ինչ արեց Բելառուսը Լեհաստանի հետ (հավանաբար, խոսքը գնում է անցյալ տարվա դեկտեմբերին երկու երկրների սահմաններ փախստականների հոսքի մասին, Լեհաստանը դրա համար մեղադրեց Բելառուսին - խմբ. նշում): Այս պայմաններում, թվում է, թե սահմանի ցանկապատի կառուցումն օգնեց պաշտպանել տարածքը»,- ասել է Հաավիստոն:

Նա հավելել է, որ Ֆինլանդիան փակել է սահմանները ռուս զբոսաշրջիկների համար, քանի որ նրանց տեղաշարժը կարող է վտանգ ներկայացնել երկրի արտաքին քաղաքականությանը։

Միևնույն ժամանակ, Հաավիստոն հավելել է, որ Ռուսաստանի քաղաքացիները, որոնց մուտքն արգելված է եղել Բալթյան այլ երկրների կողմից, կարող են Ֆինլանդիայի տարածքով մուտք գործել այդ երկրներ Շենգենյան գոտու միջոցով։ Դիվանագետն այս իրավիճակը ռիսկ է անվանել Ֆինլանդիայի միջազգային հարաբերությունների համար։
