Կոնգրեսական Ադամ Շիֆը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրել է. «2020 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 27-ին, 6 շաբաթ շարունակ, Ադրբեջանը և Թուրքիան դաժանորեն հարձակվեցին Արցախի ժողովրդի վրա՝ սպանելով բազմաթիվ անմեղ քաղաքացիների, տեղահանելով տասնյակ հազարավորներին և ստեղծելով զանգվածային մարդասիրական աղետ, որը դժբախտացրեց բազմաթիվ հայ ընտանիքներ նաև արտերկրում և այստեղ՝ Միացյալ Նահանգներում։ Պատերազմը կազմակերպել էր Բաքվի արյունարբու բռնապետը, ով նախընտրեց պատասխանել ներքին դժգոհությանը` պատերազմ մղելով խաղաղ հարևանի դեմ:

Այսօր մենք նշում ենք Ալիևի հարձակման 2-րդ տարելիցը, բայց, ցավոք, պատերազմը չի ավարտվել այդ 44-օրյա ներխուժումից հետո: Չնայած միջազգայնորեն կնքված զինադադարի համաձայնագրին, Ադրբեջանի ագրեսիան Արցախի և Հայաստանի ժողովրդի դեմ շարունակվում է, ավելի քան 100 հայ զինվոր շարունակում է մնալ ապօրինի կալանավորված և սարսափելի խոշտանգումների է ենթարկվում, իսկ հազարավոր ընտանիքներ ապրում են հաջորդ հարձակման վախով։ Եվ Ադրբեջանի բռնությունները կրկին սրվեցին այս ամսվա սկզբին, երբ ադրբեջանական ուժերը գնդակոծեցին Արցախի Կարմիր Շուկա և Թաղավարդ գյուղերի տները և չհրահված գրոհ ձեռնարկեցին ինքնիշխան Հայաստանի տարածքի վրա:

Այս վերջին հարձակումներն ապացույցն են այն բանի, որ Ադրբեջանը շարունակելու է ահաբեկել Արցախի և Հայաստանի ժողովրդին այնքան ժամանակ, քանի դեռ չի հասել իր նպատակներին։ Ալիևը միայն արհամարհանք է դրսևորում Կովկասում կայունություն հաստատելու՝ միջազգային հանրության ջանքերի նկատմամբ, և նրան պետք է կանգնեցնել։ Քանի դեռ իրական հետևանքներ չեն եղել, Ալիևը կշարունակի ընդլայնել իր պատերազմը, և ավելի շատ անմեղ կյանքեր կկորսվեն։

Միացյալ Նահանգները պետք է ուժեղ և բովանդակալից գործողություններ ձեռնարկի Ադրբեջանի դեմ: Մենք պետք է ընդմիշտ դադարեցնենք ցանկացած օգնություն Ալիևի ռեժիմին, պահանջենք ազատ արձակել բոլոր քաղբանտարկյալներին, ուսումնասիրենք պատժամիջոցները և հետապնդենք պատերազմական հանցագործությունների և մարդկության դեմ հանցագործությունների համար: Ես և իմ գործընկերները կշարունակենք հրատապորեն հետամուտ լինել Քոնգրեսում օրենսդրորեն այդ նպատակներին հասնելուն, և մենք չենք հանգստանա, քանի դեռ Միացյալ Նահանգները քայլեր չի ձեռնարկել:

Սիրտս ցավում է Արցախի և Հայաստանի ժողովրդի և իմ ամերիկահայ ընտրողների համար, նրանց ընտանիքներն ու սիրելիները կորել են, տեղահանվել և ահաբեկվել են Ադրբեջանի պատերազմի սկզբից ի վեր։ Այսօր և ամեն օր ես կշարունակեմ կոչ անել քայլեր ձեռնարկել Բաքվի ռեժիմի դեմ, քանի դեռ հայ ժողովուրդը չի հասել խաղաղության ու ազատության, որից շատ երկար ժամանակ զրկված է եղել»:
