Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Անկախության տոնի առթիվ Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների նախագահ Ջոզեֆ Բայդենը շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին։ Ուղերձում ասված է. 

«Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների անունից իմ ջերմ շնորհավորանքներն եմ հղում հայ ժողովրդին Անկախության օրվա կապակցությամբ։ Մենք կշարունակենք աջակցել հայ ժողովրդի ժողովրդավարական ձգտումներին, ինքնիշխանությանը և անվտանգությանը։

Սեպտեմբերի 21-ին մենք միանում ենք հայ ժողովրդին՝ նշելու ձեր նվիրումը ժողովրդավարությանը և մեր երկրների ու ժողովուրդների միջև ամուր բարեկամական կապերը։ Վերջին ռազմական գործողություններն ընդգծում են մեր դիվանագիտությունը կրկնապատկելու անհրաժեշտությունը, որպեսզի Հայաստանը կարողանա նայել դեպի բարգավաճ և խաղաղ ապագա, ինչը ներառում է հարևանների հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորում։ Հայտնում ենք մեր ցավակցությունը վերջին հարձակումների ժամանակ զոհերի կապակցությամբ։ Մենք բարձր ենք գնահատում Ձեր աջակցությունը տարածաշրջանում առավել կայունություն հաստատելու ջանքերին։ Մենք հավատարիմ ենք մնում Ձեր և այլ կողմերի հետ աշխատելու՝ աջակցելու հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորմանը, այդ թվում՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովրդի համար:

Այս տարի ԱՄՆ-Հայաստան մեր նորացված ռազմավարական երկխոսությունը վերահաստատեց մեր համատեղ հանձնառությունը երկկողմ հարաբերություններում կապերի ամրապնդմանը և ընդգծեց Միացյալ Նահանգների աջակցությունը Հայաստանի ժողովրդավարական հետագծին: Միացյալ Նահանգները կանգնած է Հայաստանի կողքին, մինչ դուք շարունակում եք աշխատել կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի, հաշվետու ինստիտուտների զարգացման, օրենքի գերակայության ամրապնդման և մարդու իրավունքների նկատմամբ հարգանքի ուժեղացման ուղղությամբ:

Մեր համատեղ աշխատանքն անցած տարվա ընթացքում շարունակել է ամրապնդել և խորացնել մեր ժողովուրդների միջև կապերը: Ամբողջ հայ ժողովրդին մաղթում եմ անվտանգ և խաղաղ Անկախության տոն»։
