ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանը ընդունել է ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահ Նենսի Փելոսիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը

ԱԺ նախագահ Ալեն Սիմոնյանը սեպտեմբերի 18-ին ընդունել է պաշտոնական այցով Հայաստան ժամանած ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահ Նենսի Փելոսիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը: Հանդիսավոր ընդունելությանը հաջորդել է Սիմոնյան-Փելոսի առանձնազրույցը: Զրուցակիցներն այնուհետեւ միացել են ընդլայնված կազմով քննարկմանը:
ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն առանցքային տեղ է զբաղեցնում Հայաստանի քաղաքական եւ տնտեսական կյանքում:
«Հարգելի՛ բարեկամ, Ձեր այցը Հայաստան տեղի է ունենում մեր երկրի համար ծանրագույն շրջանում, եւ այն այս առումով առավել գնահատելի է: Ինչպես գիտեք, սեպտեմբերի 13-ից Ադրբեջանը Հայաստանի ինքնիշխան տարածքի նկատմամբ ագրեսիայի նոր փուլ է սկսել: Ադրբեջանական զինուժը դաժան ռմբակոծությունների է ենթարկել ոչ միայն Հայաստանի սահմանային դիրքերը, այլեւ բազմաթիվ բնակավայրեր ու քաղաքացիական ենթակառուցվածքներ: Ցավոք, զոհեր ունենք»,- նշել է Ալեն Սիմոնյանը: Նա շնորհակալություն է հայտնել սեպտեմբերի 14-ի երեկոյան Միացյալ Նահանգների միջնորդությամբ ձեռք բերված փխրուն զինադադարի համաձայնության համար, ինչպես նաեւ երախտագիտություն է հայտնել ԱՄՆ-ի իշխանությանը, այդ թվում՝ բազմաթիվ կոնգրեսականների՝ վերջին զարգացումներին հասցեական գնահատական տալու համար:
Կողմերը քննարկել են Հայաստանի եւ տարածաշրջանի անվտանգությանն առնչվող հարցեր՝ ներառելով ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդում հետագա գործընթացներին վերաբերող մանրամասներ:
Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել նաեւ հետագա միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության նախագծերին: Հանդիպման ավարտին ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը եւ ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի նախագահը հանդես են եկել հայտարարությամբ:
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ընդունելության համար՝ ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակը նշել է. «Երբ մենք որեւէ երկիր ենք գնում, մեզ համար կարեւոր է անվտանգությունը: Չգիտեինք, որ մեր այցը կհամընկնի ռազմական գործողություններին հաջորդող օրերին: ԱՄՆ-ում հպարտանում ենք, որ շրջապատված ենք հայրենասեր հայերով, որոնք նաեւ մեր քաղաքացիներն են: Նրանք մեր ուժն են, մեր ամբողջության կարեւոր բաղադրիչը»,-ասել է Նենսի Փելոսին:
Հանդիպումից հետո Ալեն Սիմոնյանը եւ Նենսի Փելոսին հանդես կգան լրատվամիջոցների համար հայտարարությամբ:
