Էրդողան-Բայդեն հանդիպում կազմակերպելու շուրջ քննարկում է ընթանում

Այս ամսվա վերջին ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի եւ Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Էրդողանի հանդիպումը կազմակերպելու շուրջ քննարկում է ընթանում։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է թուրք բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյան: Օրակարգում են Թուրքիայի եւ Ռուսաստանի հարաբերությունները, ԱՄՆ-ի զենքն ու հակամարտությունները Ուկրաինայում եւ Սիրիայում, գրում է Reuters-ը։
Սպասվում է, որ Էրդողանը Վաշինգտոն կայցելի սեպտեմբերի 17-ից 22-ը։
Բայդենը եւ Էրդողանը վերջին անգամ հանդիպել են հունիսի վերջին Մադրիդում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթաժողովի շրջանակում, որտեղ Թուրքիան հանել է Ֆինլանդիայի եւ Շվեդիայի՝ ՆԱՏՕ-ին միանալու հայտի վրա սահմանած վետոն։
Այդ գագաթաժողովի ավարտին Բայդենն ասել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն աջակցում է Թուրքիային F-16 կործանիչների վաճառքին, եւ որ ինքը վստահ է, որ վաճառքի համար անհրաժեշտ Կոնգրեսի հավանությունը կարելի է ստանալ։
Երկու նախագահների միջեւ քննարկումները կներառեն Ուկրաինայի հակամարտությունը, Թուրքիայի եւ Ռուսաստանի հարաբերությունները եւ Ուկրաինա հացահատիկի արտահանման գործարքը, ասել է աղբյուրը։
ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսում Թուրքիայի նկատմամբ տրամադրությունները վատթարացել են վերջին մի քանի տարիների ընթացքում այն բանից հետո, երբ Անկարան ձեռք է բերել ռուսական արտադրության պաշտպանական հրթիռային համակարգեր, ինչը հանգեցրել է ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից պատժամիջոցների սահմանման, ինչպես նաեւ Թուրքիան բացառվել է F-35 կործանիչների ծրագրից:
Հուլիսին ամերիկացի մի շարք օրենսդիրներ նամակ են ուղարկել ԱՄՆ նախագահին՝ դեմ արտահայտվելով Թուրքիային F-16 կործանիչների վաճառքին։ Իրենց նամակում օրենսդիրները նշել են, որ «Թուրքիայի կողմից աջակցվող ուժերն օգտագործել են ԱՄՆ-ի արտադրության զենքերը ռազմական հանցագործություններ կատարելու համար, այդ թվում՝ ռմբակոծել են քաղաքացիական թիրախները, ինչպես, օրինակ, հիվանդանոցներն ու դպրոցները Իրաքում, Սիրիայում եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում»:
ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատը հավանություն է տվել Ազգային պաշտպանության ակտում փոփոխություններին, որոնք կբարդացնեն Թուրքիային F-16 կործանիչներ վաճառելու նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի ծրագիրը:
Սակայն օգոստոսի վերջին Թուրքիայի եւ ԱՄՆ պաշտպանության նախարարներ Հուլուսի Աքարն ու Լլոյդ Օսթինը հեռախոսազրույց են ունեցել, որի ընթացքում քննարկել են Անկարային F-16 կործանիչներ մատակարարելու հարցերը։
Թուրքիան ձգտում է ստանալ 40 F-16 Block 70 կործանիչ եւ 80 Block 70 լրակազմ՝ ռազմաօդային ուժերին սպասարկող իր ինքնաթիռները արդիականացնելու համար:
