Այսօր Օհան Դուրյանի 100-ամյակն է

Այսօր աշխարհահռչակ հայ դիրիժոր Օհան Դուրյանի 100–ամյակն է։
Մեծանուն դիրժորը ծնվել է 1922 թ. սեպտեմբերի 8–ին Երուսաղեմում։ Տեղում կոմպոզիցա և խմբավարություն ուսանած երաժիշտն այնուհետև համերգային շրջագայությունների է մեկնում Եվրոպա և զարմացնում իր ֆենոմենալ հիշողությամբ, խոր, զգայուն երաժշտականությամբ։
Մաեստրոն մինչև 1950-ականները ղեկավարել է Հայաստանի Ֆիլհարմոնիկ նվագախումբը։ Հետագայում մեկնել է Եվրոպա։
1962-1969 թվականներին Օհան Դուրյանը իբրև հյուր դիրիժոր հանդես է եկել Լայպցիգի Գևանդհաուսի նվագախմբի հետ։ Այդ համագործակցության արդյունքում կայացած 19 համերգները, որոնց ժամանակ չի գործածվում ոչ պարտիտուր, ոչ էլ դիրիժորական փայտիկ, դառնում են լայպցիգյան երաժշտական կյանքի բարձրակետը՝ հանդիսատեսի մեջ կենդանի թողնելով խոսուն ձեռքերի երաժշտության լեզուն։
1998-2001 թթ. եղել է Հայաստանի Օպերայի և բալետի ակադեմիական թատրոնի սիմֆոնիկ նվագախմբի դիրիժորը։ Այդ պաշտոնից ազատվելուց հետո նա որոշ ժամանակով հեռացավ Հայաստանից՝ տեղափոխվելով Մոսկվա։ Ավելի ուշ Դուրյանը վերադարձավ Հայաստան և 2008թ․ միացավ ՀՀ առաջին նախագահ Լևոն Տեր–Պետրոսյանի գլխավորած ընդդիմադիր շարժմանը։
Մահացել է 2011 թվականի հունվարի 6-ին Երևանում։ Նրա աճյունն ամփոփված է Կոմիտասի անվան պանթեոնում։
Մաեստրոն աշխատել է աշխարհի 110 նվագախմբերի հետ։ Նա այն եզակի արվեստագետներից էր, ով արժանացել է ավելի քան 300 միջազգային երաժշտագետների բացառիկ դրական կարծիքների։

«Իրենց հարցնես՝ բոլորը մտավորական են: Մտավորականը, անշուշտ, պիտի լավ կրթված լինի, բայց կրթությունը միակ չափանիշը չէ: Ավելի ճիշտ՝ գործունեության որակը և գիտակցությունն են տարբերում նրան մյուս մարդկանցից»:
«Ինչ խոսք, մեր օրերում անհնար է քաղաքականությունից հեռու լինել, թեև անձամբ ես երբեք չեմ կարող քաղաքական գործիչ դառնալ: Յուրաքանչյուրը պիտի մասնակցի քաղաքականությանը, եթե դա նշանակում է երկրին օգուտ տալ: Ոչ ոք իրավունք չունի հեռու մնալ քաղաքականությունից, եթե դա նշանակում է անտարբեր լինել երկրի շենացմանը»։
«Պարզ բան է՝ բեմում, նվագախմբի ու դահլիճի միջև: Ես դիրիժոր եմ: Սա է իմ պարտականությունը մանկությունից, իմ ճակատագիրը մինչև վերջ: Եվ դա է իմ գործը, որ, դժբախտաբար, չեմ կարող կատարել իմ կարողությունների համեմատ: Անելիքներս շատ են: Բայց պատկերացրեք՝ Ձեզ տվել են կոտրած գրիչ ու ասում են՝ լավ գրիր: Արվեստագետը պիտի ունենա իր գործիքը: Իմ գործիքը ես չունեմ: Ես ամբողջ սրտով եկել եմ Հայաստանին ծառայելու, և թող անհամեստ չհնչի, իմ կարողությունները մեծ են, իմ գրիչն է կոտրած: Ու ես չեմ կարողանում Հայաստանին ծառայել այնպես, ինչպես կարող եմ ծառայել: Դժբախտաբար: Բայց իրերի վիճակն այս է, ու ես իրավունք չունեմ նահանջել»:
«Մտավորականն իրավունք չունի ասել` ես մտավորական եմ, քաղաքականությամբ չեմ զբաղվում, դա թուլություն է, հանցագործություն: Հայաստանը կործանվում է և մենք իրավունք չունենք լռելու»:
«Իրական արվեստագետի նպատակը` կատարյալի ձգտումն է: Թևածումների համար ծնվածը պետք է թռիչքի պաշտամունք ունենա»:
