Ուկրաինայի Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր հրամանատար Վալերի Զալուժնին հայտարարել է, որ ռուսական ներխուժման սկզբից ի վեր զոհվել է գրեթե ինը հազար ուկրաինացի զինծառայող, հաղորդում է «Ինտերֆաքս-Ուկրաինա»-ն:

Զալուժնին իր ելույթի ժամանակ ասել է, որ Ուկրաինայում երեխաները պաշտպանության կարիք ունեն, «որովհետև նրանց հայրը գնացել է ռազմաճակատ և, հավանաբար, ա գրեթե ինը հազար հերոս զոհվածներից մեկն է»։

Վերջին անգամ ուկրաինական իշխանությունները հայտնել են իրենց մարտական կորուստների մասին հուլիսի սկզբին։ Այն ժամանակ Ուկրաինայի նախագահի գրասենյակի ղեկավարի խորհրդական Ալեքսեյ Արեստովիչը հայտնել է, որ պատերազմի սկզբից ի վեր, իր գնահատմամբ, զոհվել է մինչև 10 հազար ուկրաինացի զինվոր։ Ապրիլին Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին հայտարարել էր, որ պատերազմի ընթացքում զոհվել է 2500-ից 3000 ուկրաինացի զինվոր։

ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը երկու անգամ է հայտնել ռուսական զորքերի ընդհանուր կորուստների մասին, վերջին անգամ՝ մարտի 25-ին։ Այն ժամանակ գերատեսչությունը հայտարարել է, որ Ուկրաինայում ռազմական գործողությունների ընթացքում զոհվել է 1351 ռուս զինվոր, ևս 3825 մարդ վիրավորվել է։

Օգոստոսի 19-ի դրությամբ BBC-ի ռուսական ծառայությունը և Mediazona-ն, հիմնվելով բաց տվյալների վրա, հաստատել են, որ պատերազմի սկզբից ի վեր զոհվել է 5701 ռուս զինծառայող։

Օգոստոսի 8-ի դրությամբ Պենտագոնը հաշվարկել է, որ պատերազմի սկզբից ի վեր զոհվել կամ վիրավորվել է 70 000-ից մինչև 80 000 ռուս զինվոր:
