SHAMSHYAN.com-ի տեղեկություններով՝ Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Արարատի մարզային քննչական վարչության Մասիսի քննչական բաժնում քրեական վարույթ է նախաձեռնվել երեկ՝ օգոստոսի 19-ին, Մասիս քաղաքում տեղի ունեցած ահաբեկչություն կամ բանդիտիզմ հատկանիշներով։

Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ այդ օրը, ժամը 21։00-ի սահմաններում Արարատի մարզի բնակիչ՝ 36-ամյա Էդվարդ Մարգարյանը զանգահարել է ոստիկանության Արարատի մարզային վարչության քրեական հետախուզության բաժանմունքի պետ Հրաչ Միրոյանին և ցանկացել նրա հետ հանդիպել։ Հանդիպումը պետք է տեղի ունենար Մասիս-Այնթափ-Նուբարաշեն ճանապարհի 1-ին կմ հատվածում, ու այդ հանդիպման ժամանակ Է. Մարգարյանը, ով Kia մակնիշի ավտոմեքենայով է եղել, ատրճանակից կրակոց է արձակում դեպի օդ և դիմում փախուստի։ Այնուհետև 40-50 րոպե անց գնում է Մասիս խոշորացված համայնքի ղեկավար Դավիթ Համբարձումյանի աշխատավայր, մտնում ներս և այնտեղ գտնվող պահակի հասցեին հայհոյանքներ հնչեցնում, բարձրանում 4-րդ հարկ, որտեղից էլ 2 անգամ կրակոց է արձակում և նռնակ նետում։

Արդեն ժամանած ոստիկանության, Ազգային անվտանգությն ծառայության, Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի, արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության ծառայողները քաղաքապետարանի դիմացի գլխավոր փողոցը սահմանազատում են՝ ելնելով բնակիչների անվտանգությունից, ու ՀՀ ոստիկանապետի առաջին տեղակալ, ոստիկանության գեներալ-մայոր Արամ Հովհաննիսյանի, ՀՀ ոստիկանության քրեական ոստիկանության գլխավոր վարչության պետ, ոստիկանության գնդապետ Վարդան Վարդանյանի և ոստիկանության Երևան քաղաքի վարչության պետ, ոստիկանության գնդապետ Սևան Քոչարյանի գլխավորությամբ տևական ժամանակ  բանակցություններ են սկսվում, սակայն Է. Մարգարյանը չի արձագանքում ոստիկանների հորդորներին, ինչպես նաև անպատասխան է թողնում անգամ դեպքի վայր ժամանած իր մոր խնդրանքները։

Տեսնելով, որ Է. Մարգարյանը չի պատասխանում անգամ մորը, տեղում որոշվում է՝ հնարավոր հետագա գործողությունները կանխելու նպատակով ժամը 00։30-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանական հատուկ ջոկատը մտնում է Մասիս խոշորացված համայնքի ղեկավարի շենք ու ղեկավար Դավիթ Համբարձումյանի աշխատասենյակում՝ նրա գրասեղանի մոտ եղած աթոռի վրա, հայտնաբերում են Է. Մարգարյանին՝ մահացած վիճակում։ 

Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ հայտնաբերվել է «Մակարով» տեսակի գործարանային համարը ջնջված ատրճանակ, որը լիցքավորված է եղել 4 փամփուշտներով, իսկ Դ. Համբարձումյանի աշխատանքային սեղանի վրա հայտնաբերվել է 1 հատ «Ֆ-1» տեսակի նռնակ՝ իր պայթուցիչով, և թվով 2 հատ ատրճանակից կրակված պարկուճ։
