«ԱՐԱՐ» հիմնադրամի համահիմնադիր, հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի դեմ քրեական այս հետապնդումները բոլոր մասնագետների, իրավաբանների, իրավապաշտպանների կողմից գնահատվել են որպես քաղաքական հետապնդում։

Այս հետապնդումները քաղաքական են այն իմաստով, որ ոչ միայն ներքաղաքական նշանակություն ունեն, այսինքն Չալաբյանին հետապնդում են ոչ միայն գործող իշխանություններին խստորեն քննադատելու, հակաիշխանական ակցիաներին ակտիվորեն մասնակցելու կամ մասնակից ներգրավելու համար, այլև դրանք օրգանապես կապված են Արցախում ստեղծված իրավիճակի, Արցախի տարածքները հանձնելու, Հայաստանի և Արցախի պաշտպանողականությունը հետևողականորեն նվազեցնելու իշխանությունների քաղաքականության հետ։

Բազմաթիվ են մարդիկ, ովքեր այս իշխանություններին մեղադրում են Արցախը հանձնելու մեջ։ Գործող իշխանություններն ունեն մեկ հակափաստարկ՝ «բոլոր դեպքերում ասում են, թե այս մարդիկ նախկիններ են և նախկինների օրոք է տեղի ունեցել պետության թալանը, բանակի պաշտպանունակության նվազեցումը և այլն։

Ընդդիմության մի հսկայական հատված խոցելի է իշխանության և իշխանության սպասարկուների համար, և նրանք առիթը բաց չեն թողնում «նախկիններին» մեղադրելու Հայաստանի դեմ հնարավոր բոլոր հանցագործությունների մեջ։ Ճշմարտացի՞ է այդ հանգամանքը, թե՞ ոչ, թողնում ենք ընթերցողի դատին։

Փաստն այն է, որ իշխանությունն ունի հակափաստարկ, որն օգտագործում է, իսկ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի դեպքում այս հակափաստարկն իհարկե չի գործում։

Չալաբյանը եզակի անձանցից մեկն է, որին որևէ կերպ հնարավոր չէ կապել նախկինների հետ։ Դրսում երկու բարձրագույն կրթություն ստացած, միջազգային կառույցներում աշխատանքի մեծ փորձ և հեղինակություն վայելող անձը, թողել է ամեն ինչ, վերադարձել է հայրենիք, մեծ ներդրումներ է արել Հայաստանի և Արցախի պաշտպանունակության բարձրացման գործում, այժմ էլ հսկայական ծրագրեր է իրականացնում, և նրա քննադատությունը շատ ավելի ծանր է տանում իշխանությունը՝ հասկանալով, որ այդ քննադատությունը արդարացի է, իսկ ինքը հակադարձելու ոչինչ չունի, և հենց սա է պատճառը, որ փաշինյանական վարչախումբը առավելագույն մոլեռանդորեն հարձակվում է ոչ թե նախկինների ներկայացուցիչների, այլ այն անձանց վրա, ովքեր անբիծ են, ունեն բարձր հեղինակություն, իրենց կրթությամբ և գիտելիքներով տասնապատիկ գերազանցում են իշխանության բոլոր ներկայացուցիչներին միասին վերցրած և կարող են իսկապես ասելիք ու միտք փոխանցել հանրությանը:

Հենց այս մարդիկ են գործող իշխանությունների իրական այլընտրանքը և նրանք են դառնում այս իշխանությունների հիմնական թիրախը։
