Երեկ Վրաստանի ներքին գործերի նախարարության սահմանային ոստիկանությանը պատկանող ուղղաթիռը, որի օգնությամբ իրականացվելու էր Գուդաուրիում վթարված պարապլաներների փրկարարական աշխատանքները, կորցրել է կառավարումն ու կործանվել։

ՆԳՆ-ի տեղեկատվության համաձայն՝ ուղղաթիռում, բացի անձնակազմի անդամներից, գտնվել են նաև գերատեսչության արտակարգ իրավիճակների կառավարման ծառայության փրկարարներն ու բժիշկները։

Վրաստանի ներքին գործերի նախարար Վախտանգ Գոմելաուրին գիշերը հայտարարել է, որ Գուդաուրիում ուղղաթիռի կործանման ժամանակ զոհվել են ինքնաթիռում գտնվող ութ անձ։

«Ցանկանում եմ իմ խորին վիշտը հայտնել տեղի ունեցածի համար, իմ ցավակցությունը հայտնել զոհվածների ընտանիքներին։ Բոլորիս համար դժվար է, հատկապես՝ ընտանիքների, ընկերների, ՆԳՆ-ի համար։ Վեցը մեր աշխատակիցներն էին, երկուսը՝ շտապօգնության բժիշկ։ Դժբախտ պատահար է տեղի ունեցել, կադրը հեռարձակվել է հեռուստատեսությամբ, ուղղաթիռը կորցրել է կառավարումն ու ընկնելով խոցվել։ Մենք դեռ շատ բան չգիտենք, փորձագետները կպարզեն, թե ինչն է եղել ուղղաթիռի կառավարումը կորցնելու պատճառը։ 

Ցավոք, զոհվել է ութ մարդ։ Մեկ հոգի վիրավորվել է, ով պարապլաներով էր, իսկ նրա հետ գտնվող օտարերկրյա զբոսաշրջիկը ընկնելուց մահացել է, ում համար փրկարարական աշխատանքներ էին տարվում»,- ասել է Գոմելաուրին։

Գուդաուրիում տեղի ունեցած ողբերգության պատճառով հուլիսի 30-ը երկրում հայտարարվել է սգո օր։ Վրաստանի վարչապետ Իրակլի Ղարիբաշվիլիի հայտարարության մեջ նշվում է․«Խորը ցավ եմ հայտնում Գուդաուրիում ՆԳՆ սահմանային ոստիկանության ուղղաթիռի կործանման հետևանքով անձնակազմի անդամների, փրկարարների և բժիշկների մահվան կապակցությամբ։ Այս դժվարին պահերին իմ անկեղծ ցավակցությունն ու զորակցությունն եմ հայտնում մահացածի ընտանիքի անդամներին ու հարազատներին, ՆԳՆ ղեկավարությանը, մեր ողջ հասարակությանը։ Ողբերգության պատճառով հուլիսի 30-ը երկրում կհայտարարվի սգո օր»։
