Այսօր սպասվում է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի այցը Մերձավոր Արևելք: Այցից առաջ Բայդենը հասկացրել է, որ Մերձավոր Արևելքն իր վարչակազմի համար առաջնահերթություն չէ, Ուկրաինան, Չինաստանը և ԱՄՆ-ի միջանկյալ ընտրություններն ավելի հրատապ խնդիրներ են: Այդուհանդերձ, ըստ Guardian-ի, որպես նախագահ կատարելով իր առաջին այցը տարածաշրջան, Բայդենը կբախվի աշխարհի արագ փոփոխվող և դեռևս անկայուն հատվածի հետ:

ԱՄՆ նախագահի հիմնական նպատակն է համոզել Սաուդյան Արաբիային նավթի համաշխարհային մատակարարումների ավելացման անհրաժեշտության հարցում՝ Ուկրաինայում Ռուսաստանի հատուկ ռազմական գործողության հետևանքով առաջացած էներգետիկ ճգնաժամը մեղմելու համար: Բայց այն փաստը, որ Իսրայելում և պաղեստինյան օկուպացված տարածքներում երկու օր մնալուց հետո նա անմիջապես թռչում է Ջիդդա, խոսում է զգալի տեղաշարժի մասին.
