Բայդենը խոստովանել է, որ տանը զենք է պահում: Այս մասին նա խոսել է զենքի շրջանառության կանոններում փոփոխություններ նախատեսող օրենքի ստորագրման պատվին կազմակերպված միջոցառմանը։

 «Ես չորս որսորդական հրացան ունեմ՝ իմ երկուսը և իմ մահացած երկու որդիները», - ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը և հավելել, որ դրանք պահում է կողպեքի տակ, ինչպես «պետք է անեն բոլոր պատասխանատու զենք ունեցող մարդիկ»։

 Նոր օրենքը խստացնում է ստուգումները 18-ից 21 տարեկան պոտենցիալ զենք գնողների նկատմամբ:  Նա նաև խրախուսում է պետություններին ընդունել կանոնակարգեր՝ արգելելու ատրճանակներ և հրացաններ ունենալ այն անձանց, որոնք դատարանի կողմից վտանգ են ներկայացնում հանրության համար:
