«ԱՐԱՐ» հիմնադրամի համահիմնադիր, հասարակական-քաղաքական գործիչ Ավետիք Չալաբյանի շուրջ իրավական գործընթացները վաղուց դուրս են եկել օրենքի սահմաններից և վերածվել խոշտանգման և քաղաքական հետապնդման ամենաարտառոց միջոցառման։

Երևանի ընդհանուր իրավասության դատարանի դատավոր Արուսյակ Ալեքսանյանը երեկ մասնակի բավարարել է Ավետիք Չալաբյանի կալանավորման ժամկետը երկարացնելու մասին նախաքննական մարմնի միջնորդությունը։ Նախաքննական մարմինը առաջարկում էր կալանքի ժամկետը երկարացնել 1 ամսով, դատավորը, լսելով կողմերին, կայացրել է հերթական ապօրինի որոշումը, որով Չալաբյանի կալանավորման ժամկետը երկարացվել է 15 օրով։

15 օրը լիովին բավարար է, որպեսզի նախաքննական մարմինը կրկին նախաքննություն իրականացնի և գործը ուղարկի դատախազին, ապա և դատարան, որից հետո այլևս կալանքի հարցի քննարկումը կմնա իշխանությունների նշանակած որևէ դատավորի իրավասության շրջանակներում։ Չալաբյանը արդեն 2 ամիս գտնվում է անազատության մեջ, և իշխանություններն ամեն ինչ անում են նրան շատ ավելի երկար կալանքի տակ պահելու համար։

Փաստաբանները, անվանի մարդիկ, հանրային մեծ հեղինակություն վայելող անձինք շեշտում են, որ սա դասական, քաղաքական հետապնդում է, և Ավետիք Չալաբյանը քաղհալածյալ է, իշխանությունները, սակայն, որևէ կերպ մտադիր չեն ընկրկել, նրանք բոլոր միջոցները ձեռնարկում են Չալաբյանին կալանքի տակ պահելու համար։
