Եվրոպայում գազի գինը մարտից ի վեր առաջին անգամ գերազանցել է հազար խորանարդ մետրը 1 900 դոլարը։ Այս մասին վկայում են Լոնդոնի ICE բորսայի տվյալները։
Նիդեռլանդներում, TTF հաբում նավթի օգոստոսյան ֆյուչերսն ավելացել է՝ հազար խորանարդ մետրի համար 1 926 դոլար։ Ընդհանուր առմամբ, գազի գինը աճուրդների սկզբից ավելացել է 7 տոկոսով։
Ավելի վաղ տեղեկացվել էր, որ Ռուսաստանը 2022թ. փետրվար-մայիսին կարողացել էր կրկնակի ավելացնել Չինաստանին եւ Հնդկաստանին էներգառեսուրսների վաճառքից ստացվող շահույթը՝ 24 մլրդ դոլար։ Արեւմտյան պատժամիջոցները հանգեցրել են նավթի եւ գազի գների աճի՝ արագացնելով գնաճը, որը կարող է հանգեցնել զարգացած երկրների տնտեսությունների ռեցեսիայի։
Ճապոնական Yomiuri թերթը նաեւ տեղեկացրել էր, որ հրդեհը եւ Freeport LNG հեղուկացված բնական գազի տերմինալի աշխատանքի դադարեցումը Տեխասում կարող է դժվարացնել աննպաստ իրադրությունը ճապոնական ընկերությունների համար, եթե «Սախալին-2»-ն դադարեցնի աշխատանքը։ Տոկիոն հեղուկացված բնական գազի երկարաժամկետ մատակարարումների հույս ունի հենց Տեխասի Freeport LNG տերմինալից, եթե դադարեցվի ներմուծումը «Սախալին-2»-ից։
