ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինն այս տարի շնորհավորական հեռագիր չի հղելու Վաշինգտոնին՝ ԱՄՆ Անկախության օրվա կապակցությամբ, քանի որ այս տարին դարձել է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության նկատմամբ ԱՄՆ-ի ոչ բարեկամական քաղաքականության գագաթնակետը։ Այս մասին երկուշաբթի լրագրողներին հայտնել է ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը, գրում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։
«Ո՛չ, այս տարի շնորհավորական հեռագիր չի ուղարկվի: Սա պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ այս տարին, ըստ էության, ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից մեր երկրի նկատմամբ ոչ բարեկամական քաղաքականության գագաթնակետն էր: Հետևաբար, իհարկե, այս պայմաններում հազիվ թե դա նպատակահարմար համարվի՝ նման շնորհավորական ուղերձ հղելը»,- ասել է Պեսկովը:
Հուլիսի 4-ին Միացյալ Նահանգների ժողովուրդը նշում է գլխավոր ազգային տոնը՝ Անկախության օրը, որը համընկնում է 1776 թվականին բրիտանական տիրապետությունից Միացյալ Նահանգների ազատությունը հռչակող հռչակագրի ընդունման հետ: Հռչակագիրն ընդունվել է Կոնգրեսի կողմից 1776 թվականի հուլիսի 2-ին Փենսիլվանիայի Ֆիլադելֆիա քաղաքում։ Երկու օր անց Կոնգրեսը հաստատել է փաստաթղթի վերանայված տարբերակը և հանձնարարել այն տպել և տարածել հանրության շրջանում: Ուստի հուլիսի 4-ը համարվում է Միացյալ Նահանգների «ծննդյան օրը»։
